MegaAnnoying

Alright. I have an MS2 with the 3.0 board in it. I bought it off the for sale section of this forum. The MS was on a turbo car before mine. Sad thing is, I don't have a turbo car. Every time I get power to the MS to retune it, Tunerstudio doesn't want to be compatible with the firmware. So, I try to...

MegaSquirt time! Kinda nervous, cutting into the wiring harness and all.. BUT! It will be worth it! Ordered a new exhaust today also, 2.75" cat-back. Can't wait to hear her purr when that gets on.

Wish me luck, pictures will come in the afternoon (or whenever the hell I finish it)

Update! After looking into the crane #14 cam, it looks like it requires 10+ compression. I would totally go for that, but I don't want to spend $500 on pistons just to need new ones once I boost the car. So, the comp 400 it is! No more need for springs and retainers, so my magnum head is going to be...

what window switch did you use? i have one im needing to install and was looking for a good cheap one. Just a Jegs generic rpm window switch and an MSD tach driver. Once you figure out what grounds what and all that jazz, its all pretty straight forward. I made the mistake of being lazy and not fin...

Did you already get the mag head on the car?? Not yet, the mag head is getting some goodies  planning on a crane #14 cam and supporting parts, upgrading the exhaust, then once I get another DD, she's getting boosted. Sorry for the poor background info, its a 2003 SE, the magnum manifold wa...

Picture time! A few beauty shots, my new-to-me magnum head, and my slightly cluttered engine bay. The wiring of the MTV reeallyyy got complicated. More to come as parts roll on in. http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/ah244/TheLaBancaLife/WP_20141109_12_27_58_Pro_zps7b91b0ad.jpg http://i1382.photobuc...

pbl3's 2.0 build up

Hey everyone! I've had my Neon for about 2.5 years now, and it's time she gets a little love. She's a 2003 SE, flame red (pics to come.. none on the laptop!) and at the moment I have a DIY intake, magnum manifold, 2.25" exhaust with a Dynomax VT muffler. Also, I have an MS-2 waiting to be hooked up,...

What's the state or county law on emissions / inspections? Arkansas doesn't do inspections, so I pretty much have free reign on that. I used to have a 1200 watt amp running my sub and another 400 or so running the rest of my speakers. I never had a problem with my system setup. it wasn't too powerf...

In regards to the UDP; would love to, but I love my Rockford Fosgate system too much. Would there be much of a MPG change with the different heads/cams? I can manage to give up a few miles, but not looking to drop 6 or 7 on my daily. You may want to invest in an ATX cooler/thermostat. And bypass the...

Decisions, decisions, decisions..

Idrive a 2003 SE ATX, and it's time to do some engine work! Right now I have a CAI and Trubendz 2.25" piping and a Dynomax VT muffler (that I love). I'm really having a hard time making up my mind on what direction to take now. Some notes; I will not and cannot do an MTX swap, leave that out. This i...

If you get an overdrive pulley for your alternator, you should be as good as you currently are as far as electrical supply. Electrical supply is going good at the moment (besides the occasional "See how loud it can get"). The GT/SRT alternator project is a bit much for me. So ultimately, if I keep ...

UDP Confusion

So I've been looking at different threads, and the UDP seems like a sensible upgrade to pep up my DD, but I still can't make out a definitive answer for some questions. I have a 1100 watt amp in my trunk running to six Rockford Fosgate speakers, no subs. Some are saying stay away from the UDP becaus...

Best way to get rid of the bottle neck is to cut it there and redo it. Bad part is most shops can't mandrel bend parts so they'll end up crush bent. Cheapest way will be to get a new catback. You can get an eBay kit or get a trubendz kit that requires some welding. Should I go for 2.5" diameter or ...

Muffler relocation

After some research, I can't find a clear answer for this. On my 2003 SE ATX, is it possible to fit a chambered muffler anywhere besides stock? I don't have the money to replace the whole system right now, which would eliminate the bottleneck. Other than straight through mufflers or resonators, coul...

Hey!

Hey everyone, my name's Phil. I drive a 2003 SE with a custom intake, and looking to improve on that. Other than that, it's bone stock. I've used this forum for info for a while but finally decided to make an account!
