I'f your looking to do autocross you "DO NOT" want some huge massive turbo because you will be more than likely running you engine in the lower rpm range lets say 1500-4 ...

also keep in mind the PCM is going to do what it takes to achieve a 14.7 A/F. There's a trick to it as many people of done it, but I'm not sure what the next step would be

you should also be able to remove the cam and run a straight edge through there also to make sure everything is straight. But you'll also be able to tell by the wear of the cam journals.
