It should move. They need a Quick Learn procedure done to get everything in sync with the PCM and the fluid volumes of each clutch pack, but the transaxle has to be able to move the car to do that.

'02 and '03 used the 41te. '04 and '05 used the 40te. The 41te is slightly more durable.

PT Cruisers would be a good source, but I think they also used the 40te, so be sure of what you are getting ...
