It should move. They need a Quick Learn procedure done to get everything in sync with the PCM and the fluid volumes of each clutch pack, but the transaxle has to be able to move the car to do that.

'02 and '03 used the 41te. '04 and '05 used the 40te. The 41te is slightly more durable.

PT Cruisers would be a good source, but I think they also used the 40te, so be sure of what you are getting ...

One issue with a thicker viscosity oil is the oil control rings have a harder time scraping it off the cylinder walls. So if the rings are getting a little weak, it can cause it to burn more oil.

If you didn't drive it when the ATF began to get coolant into it, and the previous slipping didn't cook any clutches, you may get lucky by bypassing the heat exchanger and use an external cooler.
