Make sure to use the right fluids. Honda/Acuras can be picky, especially with the transmission.

I don't think it would knock too much RPM off of cruising speeds. A 3.94 final with a .55 6th would drop about 15% off the current cruising RPM with a 3.55/.72 trans.

On the other hand, my 2004 5 speed buzzes at 3k at 80mph in 5th.

Sometimes I wish they had a 3.94 final drive with a very high 6th gear, like a .55 or so
