Re: 2018 Carlisle Official Thread
What about planning something small other than just the big Carlisle event every year? Something for 2GN to meet every year in a different location that features site seeing locations or something memorable? Many years back I met a group in Albany, NY and we drove to a national Navy location for a t...

Forum page clarifications
Is it possible to simplify the forum to organize the pages better to see the newest posts? When I come to the forum and select a certain group like "general discussion" I have to look at the dates on the right to see whats more recent Vs whats been sticky'd. There's no divider of some type to separa...

FS POST UPDATES
Is it possible for members to get a notification to update there FS posts?
Or at least give members a notification that there FS posts will be locked due to inactivity or updates?
I'm trying to find parts for a project and there are so many FS posts that have never been updated......

Re: Getting people back to the forum...
Updating the main page......lol I don't remember the last time that has ever changed. Even the "media" link still has the same photos for god knows how many years(except the blue SXT) and the "links" option has nothing... What about adding the "2GN" of the month photos to the media link? This way us...

I'm sorry for those who use "Chrome". I've heard to many bad issues using it. And Safari, I have a desktop shortcut so it's not a problem. I personally have not seen the use for TapATalk on any of my devices. Granted that's my personal opinion
Good to see the forum is back up though!

Re: Castrol Magnatec thoughts?
15-40wt !!!! Holy crap thats thick! The last time I used that thick of oil was to help cushion the bearings of my old 2.2 Turbo from rod knock! And that was using conventional oil. My SC 2.0 Magnum engine ran Synthetic 5-30w even with the massive intake temps. The 2.0 is known for piston slap as the...

Re: 2005 Dodge neon wont stay running also has 0700 Code
The start and stall has nothing to do with any maintenance items or engine conditions. The start and stall is the pcm telling the car to shut down. If you know for sure there is NO skim issues, I would check the grounds as OD has mentioned as a bad ground has caused some really strange issues with v...

And for some of us in the North East, it's still a haul to get to these small meets....lol
Canada has me beat by two more hours north for any North East meet, it sucks we are not any closer to you guys...lol
As for Carlisle, it's pretty bad that this is still my only vacation every year....lol

Re: Gates Timing belt kit and aftermarket parts thoughts and opinions?
For my SuperCharged build and my brothers Mexican turbo build here's what I used: Timing belt - Gates blue belt (I had deflection at 7000rpm on my 2.0 Magnum build with black belts) Water Pump - Mopar Tensioner - Mopar or Gates Air filters - Doesn't matter really, just stay away from any oiled air f...

Re: Keys and SKIM
How good are you at testing electrical? I would have someone near the ASD relay touching it and have someone turn the key on. Feel if the relay is kicking..... Test the power at the coil also when someone turns the key on, you should have a constant 12v power at one of the wires.... If the above sim...

I wonder if maybe this year we could set up a couple pop up tents in the grassy area and leave them there for the weekend. This way theres actually a shaded area where we all park to hang out under. And hopefully the dumpster is gone...lol When I left last year (Thurs morning the following week) the...

Got to love it!!!! 2GN has been a family to a lot of us! As for the ringing pole....LOL, yeah I brought two 50ft water hoses figuring I would need to run water from somewhere to my car to wash it. Instead it was used as the hanging rope for the pinnate' off the light pole. When Anthony took a swing,...

2GN, has it really been this long!
Since the 2GN "REBOOT" I've been browsing along checking out some of the topics and I sat back and realized one thing. This Forum has been around for 14years now  2006 was the first "Official" 2GN meet at Carlisle and most "Veterans" of the site were already members since 2004! Just think, 20...
