so it does come apart then. The base stays bolted to the car, the middle portion is removable and the top part is just a lid. Is that correct? Thanks for the help!

I am not sure it comes apart either but, I could only find two points securing it and neither seemed to allow it to come loose.

If you're running 02 front end, then you will want an 02 or earlier fog light harness then. The difference is at the plugs for the fog lights. 02 has different connectors than the 03 so if you get the wrong year harness you will have to wire new ends on to match your fogs. Its just a marginal bump in how hard she pulls but it does seem to rev a little faster and picked up a mpg or two as well.
