Well I have been pushing my sxt to the limit recently =) (100mph+)
and i have been getting 165 miles per tank, at 33$ to fill up from E

i just filled up again at 33$ again and will be easy with the gas pedal lol and see how much better my gas mileage will be

how much do yall get per tank?

Also, I doubt anywhere near you allows 100+ mph. So keep that shit to yourself.

As far as MPG, us 5-speeders with little to no mods see 32-34 mpg. Some hypermilers here will pull 40 with some of their extreme mods.

I know on my 2.0 with a UDP I got to Pittsburgh before my gas light came on, and I filled up right by my house. That's 372 miles from my driveway to Ryan's and I wasn't on the red block yet. I also drive like an old lady and LOVE cruise control.

ATX folks seem to be in the mid to upper 20s mostly, breaking 30 on the highway with cruise control.

Report back after this tank and we'll see where your problems lie. If you've got a lead foot, you're SOL on mileage since that's user-controlled. If it still sucks, check plugs, wires, coilpack, maybe change the oil, check compression, or Hell maybe even give the car a shot of seafoam. Clean those injectors as well.

170 plus miles to a half tank, 1gn/2.4 swap 3.55/.74 MTX. And not really making an effort for fuel mileage. That added torque is too tempting...

It did make close to 40 mpg on it's first trip to Carlisle, but it hasn't come close since. I guess new injectors that actually flow fuel kinda ruined that. ::shrugs::

The '01 MTX gets about 200 to a half tank if I try.

You need to drive better. If my 1gn 96 coupe can get 28mpg in town at 280 miles.. My Highway should be somewhere in the 35mpg if not better. I've only once taken it on a long trip and I got 32mpg I believe.. That was when I first got it and now it's in better condition then before.

In my auto I consistently get 32-34mpg per tank, last tank was 33.4. Best tank ever was 36.5. My neon only see's highway, no city driving. As far as miles per tank I think I get around 320. I usually fill up when I get down to a quarter tank.

I routinely average 33. Some city, some freeway, some mountain fun. I've seen about 38.8 myself, my son bumped 39.9 a couple times. No mods at all. Now thats its more AC season, I'm down in the mid 31s...

Cracks me up everyone can refer to their MPGs as per week as well.

I used to commute 12 miles a day total. Now I break 26 when I get home, not including anything I may need to stop and do. I still easily get 7+ days out of a $25 gas stop. Where is everyone driving so damn much in 7 days that you can report back on 300 miles?

I drive 216-225 miles every Tuesday (Heading to work one Tuesday, then home the next). When I leave my house I have a lil under 3/4 tank. I stop 15 miles down the road and top off my tank so I can make it all the way to work (201 miles from the Conoco I buy gas at, 216 from my house depending on my route). My round trip to work is ~200 a week. Add in the other little commutes through the week/weekend, and I can easily hit/exceed 300 miles a week.

My work week is 4 days a week. My commute is 100 miles round trip. I do frequently use my vanpool though. Every Friday revolves around doctor appointments and other things in town, about 40 miles each way. When I bought the Neon, my commute was 140 miles a day 5 days a week. In the first three months I put 15,500 miles on it including a bunch of other driving (I lived in the SoCal high desert and spent a bunch of time on San Diego on weekends and such). Then I got lucky and was laid off, found a new job that was only 14 miles a day. Then again, laid off, found work out of state, but still wnet home weekends to the Cali High Desert...

Yeah, miles add up quick. Still. 30+MPG from an abused 11 year old car is not too shabby...

You shut your butthurt little mouth. I replace my brakes 1/2 as often as everyone else and certainly doesn't cost me $100

And no, I don't "get out" much. I only road-trip about once a month, make a few meets a year, and put maybe 15k on EACH vehicle at home.

I apologize for the confusion of wanting a REALISTIC AVERAGE based on a normal, daily drive.

My regular work commute is ~170 miles per week, only about 25% of which is highway. I regularly get 32-34MPG for most of the year with my 5-speed, base-engine Neon with 170k miles on it. In the dead of winter, it's closer to 30.

My all-time high for that car was nearly 38MPG, which was 100% highway, calculated over a span of 3 tanks of gas (~1000 miles).

My commute, being that most of it is on a frequently jammed up freeway, averages about 230 a week. Then there's the running around town every night on errands and to places on the weekend, as such, i can rack up about 250 miles minimum a week. My gas mileage has been averaging in the mid to high 20's. I just put new struts on, and need to fix my rear end alignment. Also my car is due for a tuneup, which i am planning on doing soon. Hopefully, after all that, the mileage will improve some.
I'm one who tracks my gas mileage every fillup. I created a gas mileage tracking program in Open Office. With it, i can see the trends of mileage and prices over time.

do yall believe in the whole additives like lucas or other products with fueling? or anything that yall have noticed that has got yall more mpg's lol because i know ALOT has to do with the way you drive

Additives don't do much.

If you want to do something that will maybe make a dent in cleaning your fuel system, add two gallons of E85 to a fill up. You get some quantity and the price is much cheaper. Try to buy a gallon of injector "cleaner" for ~$3.25

None of them are going to directly give you better mileage, only the potential effects of better fuel spray from the injectors being cleaner will do that.

But if you think 10 ounces of something added to a tank of fuel is going to work, you are their bestest friend ever.

About 30-32 mpg depending on where I go during the week. Got the car new with about 20 or so miles on it and it now has over 250k miles showing. It gets the same mpg today as it did in 2004.

To add to that, the mechanical condition of the car has a lot to do with fuel mileage, too. Too many people waste money on the snake oil "treatments" instead of checking the condition of the engine and fixing what is worn out/broke.

I talked to one guy who swore that lucas upper cylinder lubricant and injector cleaner increased his mileage in his brand new car by properly lubricating his fuel system...I was like...um...sure....lol, however in a dirty fuel system I will say I've had great results using sea foam in vehicles that have sat up for awhile

Are you running the a/c constantly? The a/c does take a little bit of mileage away, although after a day of working in the hot temps, it does feel good during the commute home.
I average about around 200 miles per tank, sometimes it's a liittle more, around 220, sometimes it's a little less, somewhere between 170 and 200.
There are so many variables, it is hard to compare. What is your commute like? What is the condition of your car? What is your driving style? How many miles do you average a week? There's more, but i think you understand what i'm saying.
