its the modern performance 2.25" S.S. resonator. i cut off the flanges on both sides just so it would fit. i think it then comes to about 8.5-9"

my best 1/4 was 16.28 with a 2.3 60ft

i dont know what it is, but i could never beat that

that was with an aem intake and mpx 60mm t/b..... never went back because im not a fan of beating on the car that much. dont get me wrong i jump on it alot, i just wasnt too fond of the 4k clutch drops and banging shifts

4k? lol.. try 3200-3500 my best was 15.508 @ 88.77mph w/ a 2.307 60ft --- iceman, 60mm TB, SRT Catback and Goodyear Eagle LS tires

my best 60ft was 2.193.. sadly it was a 1/8th bracket run, so the 1/4th was never recorded

my 3rd time to a track, 2nd with maggy... but the 1st tiem with maggy i only got 6 runs out of a 10hr day.. yeah very disappointing.. they overbooked the track, and had 3 events running.

altho it doesnt have a sort feature, heres my times..

this friday.. (if the aem cam gear arrives in time) my build up continues with the installtion of my #14 cam, longtube+exhaust and UDP

since my exhaust isnt nearly done heres the low-down

the longtube killed the low end, and the stock '03 sxt muffler (used for the time being to quiet it down) killed the top end.... so now i have a car thats horrible on the bottom AND top end!!!

spec stg 3 clutch is also in... full 2.5" exhaust (didnt do shit imo = you guys (im guilty too) are dilusional for listening to the other guys that said 'massive gains' with the 2.5"

im going to post a cost/effect chart to help you guys out so you guys dont make the same mistake(s) as me

i wont hit up the drag strip until late season when its cooler... either that or ill wait until opening day next year

r/t ernie intake manifold isnt on yet, as a matter of fact i only have a deposit on it at the moment - im waiting for the rest of my paypal funds to arrive

i dont know if im going to run a modified stock airbox or if ill use the front half of the iceman intake... come to think of it, ill probably just going to sell the iceman intake (w/ upgraded k&n filter)

anyone interested in a magnum intake manifold, mtv, and iceman intake (k&n filter)???????? maybe as a whole package???

well you saw everything i had on my build up.. and i only gained 9whp .. and that was with a open header. altho i believe the af/x pcm is to blame, which is why i need to dyno with the stock pcm. im just saying dont get too disappointed.. long tube kills so much low end its not funny. i will be going back to stock =P

wow, that definately doesnt sound like the afx i had. .it easily provided the best gains, with the fastfab v2 a close second, and the fast fab intake mani an even closer third.

dawm - when you touch yourself its like black-on-black crime :)

LOUIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had the stock ecu with my 15" motegi trak lites (28lbs per rim/tire) and my car doesnt feel all that much slower than with the srt wheels and tires (42lbs each!!)

tomorrow ill be putting the lightweight 15" wheels back on... cant wait!!

ive been looking for a set of trak lites for the s2k, but they dont make any friendly sizes.

its funny tho, the 17's that come on mine are lighther than the 16's on the first gen s2k.

and they tested both out, and it turns out my chassis is .5 second faster on a track (forgot which one) and my wheel/tire package on the older chassis is .5 second faster also.

and people always ask me why i favor smaller lighther wheels

did you know, the taller the sidewall, the bigger the foot print? i've been looking at those footprint pictures and the general consensous is that the taller sidewall tire has a larger foot print than the lower profile ones.

its nice when you do something on you car that you can REALLY feel.

i didnt mean it that way, i was referring to the af/x ecu providing gains... that the car felt just as fast with the stock ecu and lightweight wheels, than it did with heavy wheels and the new ecu... once the 15's are back on this is gonna haul like a raped ape!

i wish i had a datalogger to find out whats wrong with the new ecu though... its the same problem that i had before that i sent the ecu back because i thought it had problems (first time i sent them an '01 ACR ecu)... i made marks on it to see if i got the same one back, which i didnt, so i dont know now where this new ecu came from

either way theres a problem, and its only showing up with the af/x ecu's :(

I think the AFX PCM could really be the problem, you guys need MS.

so i acquired af/x-race ecu #3 yesterday, i took it to the dealer tonight to get the vin updated on the ecu

i told the dealer i didnt want software updates flashed or anything like that, for the fear of losing the af/x programming.... they told me they couldnt 'update' the vin without doing that.

they suggested that we put the af/x computer in, and update the skim module and reprogram the sentry keys... at most it would only give me a CEL because there is a vin mismatch between the skim module and the actual pcm, but theres no fear of erasing the af/x programming then

a half hour of sitting in the waiting room goes by and the mechanic tells me that 'hes never done that' before, because he didnt do exactly what i had asked him to do, but its not throwing any CEL and there are no driveability issues like with the last two ecu's

3rd gear chirp is too easy now even with 17's.... i predict a 4th gear chirp with the 15" trak lites :)

on a side note, i took it out on the highway and it threw p0140 - no reading from downstream o2 sensor (blackrose does what its told.... "DOES NOT READ DOWNSTREAM O2 SENSOR" :)) but i really could care less because it still drives fine otherwise.... i miss 7800rpm!!!

i know a few af/x-r owners who did not have one of the initial (only 1 or 3??) prototype ecu's that have seen 8100-8200... i havent hit the rev-limiter yet on mine, but im scared to take it past 7500 yet so who knows... this ecu used to control canuck_2k's 2.2L beast :)

Im pleased to see my old pcm helped you out in a great deal. I know it did helped me out in the past, but it wasnt fast enough for me so I did the srt 4 route instead ;)

way to go mate!

you might wanna wrap the shifter cable since the exhaust manifold is touching the cable. Trust me. I went through *three* shifter cable bc of the heat! the 4th time, I wrapped it up using the header wrap and steel zip ties to hold it in. Not a prb, it lasted for approx 1.5 years b4 i swapped the motor.

thats my old longtube :) youre a little late

the new one rubs more but im going to put more heat wrap on it... the stock wrap actually holds up quite nicely

its wierd my engine seems louder.... i know things like an intake/exhaust manifold, cams, timing, etc can cause the engine to sound different but the engine sounds very mean.... and im currently on the stock t/b and intake (k&n factory replacement filter)
