Spring is closing in...

Post by Diablo0 » Fri Feb 16, 2018 3:35 pm

What's everyone looking forward to for Spring?

I'm looking forward to getting the car cleaned up. I've also got some tires for the black car and will be getting my original set of SSRs repaired to get the black car back to drivable. Can't wait!

Going to tinker with the SRT wagon a little and get it ready for the summer. Fix a few small things in the 5 speed swapped 3.0 grand caravan and drive that this summer. Get the SRT4 coolant feed line fixed and fix a few small things on it.

I'm going to get me a set of wheels and tires for mine. No more painted stockers and constant wheel spin. That will feel nice.

I have tons of little things to do on my boosted coupe. Like,

Headgasket
Install new Arp head bolts
New clutch install
Run new positive battery cable from trunk to engine bay
Redo some gauges wiring.
Redo 1 of my turbo coolant lines.
Rework my hotside pipe
Repaint my valve cover.

Hoping to get started on this by the end of the month. And I'll be all good for Carlisle trip in July.

Daytona:

- Get two broken transmissions welded up
- Figure out where I'm going to add another engine mount so I don't break transmissions anymore
- New clutch
- maaaaybe install a high-flow cat to quiet her down just a bit
- update with newest version of BoostButton calibration template

Neon:

- Front control arms & ball joints
- more permanent fix for exhaust leak near the rear

Another trip to the body shop scheduled for April. That pretty much takes care of everything. Finally.

Gotta add a front wheel bearing to the list. That would be a good thing to do the same time as the front control arms. Need to button up the Daytona first so the Neon can see some down time.

Guess now I need to find where I may have an oil leak and determine why the oil light occasionally comes on.

Turn off the car and back on it goes away. Makes me think it’s a bad electrical connection.

I will get new kumho-tires for my Neon before the Spring ends. I will also replace the brake pads.

I'm thinking of getting the KU31 or Ecsta 4X. I currently run Hankook tires. They are ok but nothing impressive.

Totally did this. I guess that means my year is successful and I can just relax now. Wait, I have three kids. Never mind.
