Eibach Springs (Who has them?)
I just got mine put in and the front still seems like it's sittin kinda high.
In addition Installed the KYB struts from modern performance and I'm wondering if the struts just need to settle or what?
I know the springs are in there right or according the eibach site the writing should be upwards so you can read it....not upside down...
Anyone got an idea?

The rear wheel well on a neon is lower than the front because the rear ends are up in the air from factory. When you level the neon out (most drops have a lower rear spring drop than in the front to level the neon) the rear wheel well looks closer to the tire.
My neon has the same thing with the dropzone 1.5" springs. check out my cardomain site to see what i mean.

Not unless you buy a lower set of front lowering springs (1.8" drop goldlines or something). the independant suspension setup on the neon isn't adjustable (as far as i know). As a matter of fact, i needed special camber ajustment bolts just get get mine aligned correctly after the drop because the neon doesn't allow for enough adjustment from factory! they were two 12mm and two 14mm EZcam bolts by goldline. I got them from Modern Performance for something like $45.
Both of my old chrysler fifth avenues were front torsion bar suspensions. THEY were height adjustable. but the bad thing about those was, they wouls start to sag over time. So your alignment would go off constantly!

My car sits about two inches lower with the Eibach ProKit. It's supposed to only drop it 1.5" but mine is definitely lower. The ride is very stiff and the rear wheel well is almost overlapping the rear tire. My car sits lower than any other second gen that I've seen with the same springs. I suspect the shop that installed my springs might have accidentally put on a first gen ProKit. Eh, whatever...the car handles like a Porsche and it looks great, so I don't really mind.
Even after all this, there's still more of a gap up front than in back. It's just the design of the wheel wells. Despite the difference in gap, the car sits just about level.

yours to me seems normal... if you have the first gen eibachs you would have no struts left after about 2 weeks.. and it would look more like this..JeremyJ wrote:My car sits about two inches lower with the Eibach ProKit. That's true, but there are no aftermarket struts that can handle a drop over 1.5", the KYB's can't, the tokico's can't!Nightspy wrote:lowering springs w/ good struts isn't bad at all for the money, Bender. just stay away from adjustable sleeve coilovers.
You're right about the sleeves, I had skunk2 coilovers (sleeves) back in my ricer days, and it was not fun, but now, $1300 later, i'm happy!

the tokicos might not take it.....? i think they can... but if they cant.. then just take them out, and have them replaced under warrenty...DannyBoy wrote:That's true, but there are no aftermarket struts that can handle a drop over 1.5", the KYB's can't, the tokico's can't!Nightspy wrote:lowering springs w/ good struts isn't bad at all for the money, Bender. just stay away from adjustable sleeve coilovers.

I thought the tokico hp's were guaranted to handle up to something like a 1.75 inch drop or least for lowered cars? My last car had tokicos that weren't the blues but were made to handle a drop and were actually a factory option for the zx2 sr. I had progress springs with a 1.75 front and 1.5 rear drop and the struts held up for 2 years of daily driving.

The car - 03 SXT automatic
The Suspension - 03 SRT4 struts and Eibach Pro springs
The results -
1.5" fron-1.8" rear
Handling better than ever
Ride stiff as shit
Manuvering, damn pot holes...cracks in road...driveways......
Opinion - Never do it again without air or hydraulic susp. for a daily driver. The car looked sweet, but not good for daily driving up here in Western NewYork. CALI sure...Florida sure.... Winter belt in the US hell no. Coilovers are great, especially the MP ones, but I still recomend bags or hydro's for the ability to raise the car back to stock ride height when needed and slam it for show.
Just my 2 cents......
