...and non-SRT-4 car? Is it a hood clearance issue? So, I would need to get a SRT-4 CF hood or similar to make it work? Can anyone clear this up for me?

It's a hood clearance issue. An SRT-4 hood will fit on a non-SRT-4, but there will be some ugly gappage at the nose of the hood, because the SRT-4 hood is almost an inch shorter.

Yes it's a hood clearance issue since in the SRT-4 there is a channel that it fits into. Getting an SRT hood would fix the problem but like Stonebender said there will be a gap.

there would be a gap. the SRT hood is a different length than the regular hood (saw it in person). but i wonder if that IP2 carbon fiber SRT-4 look alike hood has the right channels. hmm. and that hood is meant for a regular neon.

I wonder if Modern Performance would know. They sell both...but I am not sure if anyone there has a regular Neon. They have like 3 SRT-4s at least they do "testing" on but regular Neons... :?:

I suspected it would. Hell, someone needs to try it. I'm bet Modern Performance has tried it, so you should just ask them.

where are the clearance issues at? looking at pics of the dc bar and vibrant, they look to be at about the same height. Is it on the underside of the hoods bracing that is different? I had planned n getting this bar but I don't want to if I am going to have too many problems, I'll just save a few bucks and get the vibrant bar.

thanks for the response, I had seen it listed on a site for the regular neon but it had the same part number as the one for the srt-4 so i thought about ordering it. I guess I will just order the vibrant bar, I was hoping for a non adjustable, but I had descent luck with my last bar that was adjustable, it held up for over two years on the car.
