02 SE Neon Lower Control Arm Prothane - Stay or Go?? [Pics]

Post by gonathan85 » Thu Aug 21, 2014 2:24 pm

Hi guys -

I'm in the process of replacing the lower ball joints, and horizontal / vertical bushings in the lower control arms on my 2002 Dodge Neon SE.

I ordered the prothane 4-214 bushing kit. Here's my question...

Looking at the pictures below, are the bushings installed inside the metal sleeve that the pen is pointing to? Do I need to modify them or remove them?

Thanks much!

Excellent - thank you.

I want to make sure to do these right the first time. I hope the 4x tiny packets of bushing grease are enough to properly lube these.

Thanks...

It's plenty, and I'll warn you now that stuff is nasty and super sticky! Have fun lol. Did mine a few months ago.
