Hotel Information!

Rooms are reserved for the Harrisburg West Inn & Conference Center from July 9th through July 17th

IMPORTANT! Last year people had issues with their keys as well as hot water issues. The hot water issue has been resolved but the key issue can be prevented if you keep your key away from your cell phone to avoid it from demagnifying.

The rates are the same as last year:

Double Bed Bedrooms
(note: there are only 4 available) $69.99 Plus tax
Single Bed Bedrooms $44.99 Plus tax

Also remember when you reserve your room you must pay half now and the other half when you check-in.

Lindsey will be more then likely be the one taking your reservations. Please call between 12pm and 7pm

Currently I'm battling issues with my engine flopping around and hitting the floor. Hopefully bolting in a transmission will fix that. If it does, then I'm going this year.

Man I got screwed with being able to get the discount.

Long story short. The payment at checkout wasn't working for me at the time and charged me 10times as I kept trying. Had to call cc company to decline all the charges. And I was suppose to call my registration in but got busy with life and now I get no discount. Smh. Oh well.

Hopefully Lindsey is still at the motel, she always gives the manager a heads up when we are coming....lol

My last nights dinner at the motel the manager came up to me thanking me for staying and thanking 2GN for staying. I told him that 2GN would be back next year and he stated he was looking forward to it. The manager is actually a pretty cool guy! He didn't state he had any issues with us staying there and he was very appreciative that the 2GN group was there.
And honestly, the food wasn't really bad this year (2017) and of course when I took the family to dinner there, it was "wing" night so for me dinner was cheap...lol

Is it July yet??? I wish we had a big 2gn get together twice a year, spread apart.

Once a year just doesn't seem to cut it anymore.

Nope, once a year hasn't cut it for a while. We do some small spring and fall meets in the far northeast, but that's plane-ride distance for you.

And for some of us in the North East, it's still a haul to get to these small meets....lol
Canada has me beat by two more hours north for any North East meet, it sucks we are not any closer to you guys...lol
As for Carlisle, it's pretty bad that this is still my only vacation every year....lol

What about planning something small other than just the big Carlisle event every year?
Something for 2GN to meet every year in a different location that features site seeing locations or something memorable?
Many years back I met a group in Albany, NY and we drove to a national Navy location for a tour. We all met at a local park and had lunch then all went on a tour of this Naval ship. Something simple like this that could take a weekend like Carlisle does.
Me personally, I already travel 6-6 1/2hrs for Carlisle that lasts technically only 2 days as most of the members take off early on Sunday.
What about making arrangements for 2GN members to spend a minimum of that time duration outside of Carlisle at something different?
For Ex:
Cedar point in OHIO
Rock and Roll hall of fame - Ohio
Hershey Park - PA
Cape Cod - MA
Boston - MA
Ocean city - MD
This may not be something most people can plan for early in the year, but it could be something more accessible for some members and if others could meet up it would be even better.
I know there's posts here about different locations and meets but it doesn't seem like anyone is really paying attention to them or even making posts about them.
It would be awesome if someone posted 2GN meets from the west coast and etc...but Ive seen nothing personally......

As for these luxury condos they are puting up, doubt it will be done by summer, they still aren't even started with the utilities or ground work. Not sure how many people are honestly going to use them, sucks that it borders a damn ghetto...I'm sure guests really want a view of that
