are fuel lines mandatory for swap or can you get away with just swaping the tank/pump and evap stuff keeping same fuel lines?

How much of the brakes are needed? do you need the entire brake lines or are just the flexible lines enough?

-are the fuel lines needed? no. it is different in the engine bay, but the non SRT hardline will work.

-how much of the brakes are needed? none. If you do switch them over it's easiest to switch everything since the SRT setup has ABS, therefore all the lines are different, the brake booster is different, the knuckles are different, power steering rack is different. If you want less work you can get a PT non ABS brake booster with the bigger bore so you can still stop, but you won't need all new brake lines

With some tie rod modding, you can keep your current steering rack and use the SRT/PT knuckles. The regular neon rack is more responsive than the SRT and R/T racks.

My guess is DCX dumbed them down a little to prevent less skilled drivers from wiping out.

The regular rack will let the tires rub on the inner side, with the larger tires, but it shouldn't be a real issue. If you are going full lock at speed, you're going to have bigger problems.

My vote is to retain the SE/SXT rack, and enjoy the tighter turning radius, and quicker steering response.

If you happen to have an SRT rack, you might be able to swap the steering stops with an MTX rack and get a better turning radius, at least what your tires will allow. ATX racks have thicker stops than MTX racks. To change the stops, the inner tie rods must be removed.

It is not for the faint of heart, if the rack is installed. With the rack out of the car, it is a relatively simple task. The hardest part would be re crimping the bellows retainer ring if re using it.

Hmmm seems like keeping the normal rack is the way to go then... Will the steering pump work too or is it a must to use the srt4 steering pump?
