2004 SRT-4 into a 2003 R/T

Doing a SRT-4 Motor swap into your Neon, maybe even a 2.4... have questions about it, what you'll need or what issues you'll run into? Answers can be found in here.

2004 SRT-4 into a 2003 R/T

Post by somebodyeh » Tue Aug 26, 2014 5:02 pm

I need some help.
I purchased a damaged srt4.
Completely removed everything.
Took my 03 rt.
Put the following into the rt
2.4 l engine into the rt chassy
Full braking system from the srt into the rt
Fuel tank and fuel line from srt4 into the rt
The wiring harness from the srt4 into the rt
Ecu from srt4 into the rt
Rotors disks and pads from the srt4 into the rt.
Clutch break amd throttle peddles from srt4 into the rt
Dash cluster from srt4 into the rt

Im having issues starting it.
It starts up. Then iddles then quits.
I can start it rev it and within 4 seconds it shuts down.
Do I have to tow it into doge or a shop to get something reprogrammed?
Do I have to take the srt4s dash and swap it now with the rts dash?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Hopefully soon driving an srt4.....

probably a skim issue. if that is the case you will need to swap the skim module and the lock cylinder from the srt as well

As stdly said, you need the SKIM module and key from the SRT as well and you will be golden. Otherwise, if you don't have the SKIM module and key send me your PCM and I'll flash your VIN into it and that will work as well. I'd suggest swapping all the lock cylinders on the car over to the SRT ones if you can so you only have one key. But beware the key code for your car will cut the wrong key for it if you try to get a replacement cut that way.

In case you don't know what it looks like, it's the black box with the ring that goes around the ignition cylinder
