Gauge Cluster Chrome Bezel (2gn clusters)

Post by maxq » Tue Oct 02, 2012 9:18 am

Hi there,
I saw this chrome bezel in one of the 'for sale' threads:

viewtopic.php?t=63566

This is not a stock SRT or BUX cluster bezel but extremely fat and fits quite nicely on the cluster cover rings.

Where do I find this? Or is this a custom made bezel? Is there a thread on how to make one? I was unable to find anything... Please let me know.

It is a custom made bezel. One of a kind AFAIK.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I would design a gauge bezel on paper first. Get all the deminsions and make sure they are wrote down. I would also make a lip in the design as well that sits in the rings on the factory gauge cluster. Make sure you measure the factory one first and have depth as well. Contact your local machine shop and see if they have a CNC lathe operator to make your bezel. Simple enough. You could also buy thick enough aluminum and just cut the right size holes into it and trim it to shape. That way is cheaper, but not always the best looking depending on tools and experience.

All wrote on my cellphone so give me a little slack if it makes no sense. Lol

That makes sense... I am kind of going in a different direction... making it at home ... all craft and time - no monetary investment so to say lol

Lol, I understand. It can get a little expensive involving a shop sometimes. Good luck and hope it turns out awesome.
