Center Consol Power?

Post by Nathan9790 » Fri Dec 20, 2013 8:50 pm

So when removing the center consol (the cup holder/ center bezzle) i found a cable next to my ATX shifter assembly. it dosent connect to anything, however it has an adaptor off of it. however i know that on some other neons there is an airbag sensor in that area. could i use this cable as a possible power supply for running a rear outlet to my back seat?

if anyone has any ideas of running a rear outlet through the center consol, please post them, or pictures if you have done it!

Probably be ok as long as you are only using it for USB chargers.

IIRC, it is a power connector for SRS airbag seats.

So if i hook it to them, splicing the cable and running a 12v outlet, i should be ok right? It wont deploy my airbags will it?

For the side airbags you need the modules located near the bottom of the B-pillars.
So I don't believe that plug would directly work with the sideairbags.
How many wires and which colours does the plug have, which colour has the plug?
Maybe post a picture.
