The latest diecast Neon

Saw this at Walmart last night so I picked up a couple, I also found one at my local Toys R Us. Figured I'd post it up for those of you who like to collect diecast Neons

. You don't see many of them.

It doesn't resemble a neon entirely, but...I suppose it's close enough. I apologize for the crappy cell phone shots, I'll get better ones with the DSLR tomorrow.

Ive been trying to find the new ones. I have a SHITLOAD of the old ones. Even a couple rare ones with different window colors.

I picked up three of these because whenever I find a Hot Wheels I want (like the Pink AAR Cudas of late) they disappear shortly after I first see them. I literally picked some up last night and another up tonight so they're out there, in at LEAST those two stores. I also snagged a couple of yellow AAR Cudas

and a Panther pink 71 Hemi Cuda of a different manufacturer.

ahh! i think i have a Neon one somewhere. i remember when i got it that it didnt even look nothing like a neon so i was like ehh ill get it. not a collector or anything but ill try to find it tomorrow and post a pic of it.

Hot Wheels kinda did a mish mash of 1g and SRT on these. Kinda like a 2 door SRT look. Idk. Its close enough for me to want them.

got one of those too, HW mixed all neon years in the diecast. its got some sort of 00-02 rear goin on too. unique mix for sure.

Lol i got one too and lol'd at the package cus it looks like they put Lexus GS headlights on it but on the car there vents like this ones front bumper, actually it has this front bumper all together, if im correct.

Still cool to have it though.

theyres like 20 on ebay or more, u can get both window varriations for about 10 shipped for the two

yeah, there's two different windows. smoked and blue. i scored both at Wal Mart tonight. picked up about 6 tonight. some blue windowed, some smoked.

Gramps if I didn't love it so much Id give it to ya...I went to toys R us and nope none will ever get made again...I should have bought a few of them and kept them in the original package!

wow, didn't know there were other collectors on here...

here's what I found and made. The maisto is a 1/24th sclae, not real accurate tho... wrong side pillars and an SXT wing!

Other was put out by Hot Wheels back in the Fast and Furious era... it's a little bigger than a regular Hot Wheels... I painted it to look 'similar' to me car...

...and not to sound too geeky (too late..)... but here is the original coloring..came out in 2004...believe it was modeled after a real drag car... so I think what they are portraying as "lights" on that new one (see the illistration on the card up top here)... are actually intake ports...
