Part Number Request: Window Crank Handle Clip

Post by teklein » Wed Jun 17, 2009 1:14 pm

Hey,

I need that little clip that you insert into the window crank handle.

The one that holds the crank to the gears for the windows on the interior.

Thanks!

You should be able to get those at any parts store, Usually they are packaged in those "Help" cards.

I don't see the retainer listed in my pirated parts book. They show the handle and the spacer, but no clip.

omg that annoying little U shaped clip thingy haha. i almost lost that little bastard sooo many times taking my door panels off...they sell them for like nothing at any parts store but me being cheap just went to a junkyard and got them in case i ever do actually lose one hahaha.

funny story about that too i was trying to read about how to take that out and i searched it and some guy that wrote up about it online called it a "jesus clip." i almost died laughing cuz he prolly got so pissed off at it and yelled jesus or something?? i have nooo idea  but after buying a simple 90 degree pick the stupid thing came out in 2 seconds granted it flew across the driveway and took me at least 10 to find

Thats why you put a rag on the opposite side, to catch it.

I get them off by wiggling a rag in there to grab the clip. Worked great on the other side, this one was all bent to hell.

I have tried the "Help" clips, and I have to say that I don't like them. :(

They work, but they are a bit to small (at least for a Neon) and don't 'seat' very well.

I usually find myself a few spares from the junkyard, so I have them handy, if I ever need them.
