Hey, BRR

do you know if this harness will work on my application? I just picked up a 4 disk changer from a 00 PL PN 4858522AF

The harness that came with it is a PN 4759529AA. But that connector won't work with my radio. So will the 841AA work with my changer and H/U? Just wanna double check before I order

Hmmm...good question. I know the # BRR posted would work with a '02 and up head unit because of the connector on that end is different, but I don't know if they kept the connector at the changer the same. If I had to venture a guess, I would say it should work...but it is a guess

I can look into it more when I get to work tomorrow.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

do you have the old style connector (the two seperate black and grey ones)? if so, you can buy an adaptor from mopar to go from old style connector to new style

One thing I don't know is what year your Neon is. The above kit # will work with your radio if you have the newer style plug. I still don't know if it will plug into the changer though. If the 814 doesn't work with the '00 changer, you can use the 4671841AA for your radio side, and the harness you have already for the changer.

The PN on the connector that I have is 4759529AA. It has a square connector on the changer side and a round 8 pin connector on the radio side. Now like what has been said, this does not work on the 02+ head units. So I hope that the 841AA works on both ends.

I willing to venture out and say that it will, but...... I will probably know by saturday. I plan on going to my local chrysler bone yard and seeing what I can dig up. Apparently they have a neon with a changer.

But what is this talk about an adapter? What is the PN on that? I didn't see it listed here, just the number for the harness.

Anyway, saturday I'll update everyone on what I find.

thanks again, and if anyone has anymore info feel welcome to chime in!

definitely home made. Thanks for the link, but it looks like that is for the actual radio, not the cd changer.
