My alternator started to catch on fire on the way to the fairgrounds, just got back to the hotel. Huge thanks to Dante and Fuzzy for being my rescue team!

A big thanks to everyone for being so nice to me, even though I hardly post here. You are all truely a great bunch of people. Which reminds me, I hardly noticed Gramps yesterday and today. I hope everthing is OK with him.

Got back home around 6:30 after a surprisingly easy 4th-of-July-weekend drive through southern New England. I was fearing the worst because 2007 Chrysler Carlisle was the same weekend and it was murderous getting home. Glad that didn't happen this year.

Thanks everybody for another great year. Coming from someone who's gone to all seven 2GN Carlisle meets, it's so great to see what this whole thing has grown into. With so many people coming from different places, we all just seem to show up and get along... and win 1st Place Club Challenge!

Good to meet a bunch of you! Some really nice cars!

We left early this morning and sailed right on threw, minus the rain storm we hit.

Gramps, I'm glad you're ok. When health is a concern, you have no need to say that you're sorry. I hope you get better soon so we can see you at more meets! :)

Fuzzy, I sure enjoyed shooting the breeze with you under the tent on Friday. :D I'm pretty sure that it was the longest conversation we've ever had!

Glad to hear everything went great (minus the usual hiccups here and there)! Missed you all this year.

It was nice to see the Hemi Owners fall to the superior power of the Neon Federation known as 2GN. Grocery getter powa!

Back at you! I could have used your help, threatening to kick my butt for whiney-ness. :sad2:

Just called the dealership to order a missing bolt for the front air dam on my SRT- noticed that it was hanging towards the passenger side on Saturday and found that the bolt is completely gone.

^^I ordered three extra ones in case it happens again. I had pulled up too closely over the concrete-thingy at the head of a parking space, backed up, got down on my knees to check for damage and found that the bolt was gone. Prefer that to there being a rip in the air dam and the bolt still being there.

When I got back from the motel on Sat night, there were three cars with covers on parked under our tent. There was room for 4 cars and when I pulled into the empty space, I almost ran over the bucket. I had no idea who it belonged to, so I set it beside my car. Early Sunday morning, 3 guys showed up, took the covers off their cars, and drove away. No one claimed the bucket, so I put it with my stuff. When people finally showed up from the motel, I asked if anyone left the bucket and EJ said it belonged to you. You owe me a Pepsi next year.

Curious Tom, what kind of cars were parked under our tent and which club they were affiliated with?

Seems a little odd to just park under someone elses' tent?

I'm not quite sure and I don't think they were with another club. They were definitely cars from the 60's - early 70's. They might've parked them there because of the storm. I heard where there were some pretty violent storms in the area and they might've wanted a little extra protection, especially if there was hail.

completely understandable if it was protection from the storm that missed us at the HW....
if it was my vehicle I would have done the same thing...
