2012 All Chrysler Nationals/7th Annual 2GN.org National Meet
My alternator started to catch on fire on the way to the fairgrounds, just got back to the hotel. Huge thanks to Dante and Fuzzy for being my rescue team!
So many neons so little time.

Got back home around 6:30 after a surprisingly easy 4th-of-July-weekend drive through southern New England. I was fearing the worst because 2007 Chrysler Carlisle was the same weekend and it was murderous getting home. Glad that didn't happen this year.
Thanks everybody for another great year. Coming from someone who's gone to all seven 2GN Carlisle meets, it's so great to see what this whole thing has grown into. With so many people coming from different places, we all just seem to show up and get along... and win 1st Place Club Challenge!

I appreciate everyone's concern. Yeah, I was a real party pooper this year. Sorry that I didn't get to say goodbye to y'all but Gramps was not a happy camper this time around.Haganracing wrote:Yeah, I know he wasn't feeling well Saturday but I didn't get to say goodbye

PS, how long did that drive take you?
Gramps, I'm glad you're ok. When health is a concern, you have no need to say that you're sorry. I hope you get better soon so we can see you at more meets!Midnight_Rider wrote:r/tguy02 wrote:I was wondering the same thing, I hardly saw gramps at allpa acr wrote:...I hardly noticed Gramps yesterday and today. Glad to hear everything went great (minus the usual hiccups here and there)! Missed you all this year.
It was nice to see the Hemi Owners fall to the superior power of the Neon Federation known as 2GN. Grocery getter powa!

Just called the dealership to order a missing bolt for the front air dam on my SRT- noticed that it was hanging towards the passenger side on Saturday and found that the bolt is completely gone.

^^I ordered three extra ones in case it happens again. I had pulled up too closely over the concrete-thingy at the head of a parking space, backed up, got down on my knees to check for damage and found that the bolt was gone. Prefer that to there being a rip in the air dam and the bolt still being there.

When I got back from the motel on Sat night, there were three cars with covers on parked under our tent. There was room for 4 cars and when I pulled into the empty space, I almost ran over the bucket. I had no idea who it belonged to, so I set it beside my car. Early Sunday morning, 3 guys showed up, took the covers off their cars, and drove away. No one claimed the bucket, so I put it with my stuff. When people finally showed up from the motel, I asked if anyone left the bucket and EJ said it belonged to you. You owe me a Pepsi next year.synviper wrote:Hey did anyone on saturday by chance pick up a red bucket with a bunch of cleaning supplies in it under the tent at the fairground??

I'm not quite sure and I don't think they were with another club. They were definitely cars from the 60's - early 70's. They might've parked them there because of the storm. I heard where there were some pretty violent storms in the area and they might've wanted a little extra protection, especially if there was hail.Canada wrote:Curious Tom, what kind of cars were parked under our tent and which club they were affiliated with?
Seems a little odd to just park under someone elses' tent?
