"A rare Ferrari F40 sustained serious damages after colliding with a Dodge Dart which according to local reports ran a red light.
Ferrari only made 1,315 units of the F40 during 1987 and 1992 so hopefully this red example will be back in shape after spending some serious time in the repair shop. The accident occurred in Ontario, Canada when the F40 had a brutal encounter with a Dodge Dart that according to witnesses ran a red light.
Behind the wheel of the F40 was a Ferrari mechanic returning from a test drive that obviously didn't end very well. At the moment the owner's identity is not known but there are around ten F40s in Ontario right now.
None of the drivers were hurt but the cars are in need of some significant repairs and you can imagine how big the F40's bill will be given the vehicle's age and exclusivity."

Looks like the Dart was quite a bit stronger and more sturdy in the front end. Good to know nobody got hurt though cause it sure looks like a mess.

Strangely, even this thing sells better than the Dodge Dart in Corpus Christi ... don't think there'll ever be an SRT Dart ...

According to Jalopnik and Autoblog, Dodge is making one. If you look at the production plan in the link it says Dart SRT along with a Journey SRT

Some will say, "Better late than never," but I give FCA credit for getting everything in order before releasing it. I have had faith all along.

Yup, there will be a dart srt! A CUV will share the same powerplant too. AWD and H.O. turbo. 2017 MODEL year. So 2016. SRT as a brand is dead too supposedly. Going to be a trim level again.

Journey SRT with the same power plant..Hrrmmmm

I don't really see a big demand for a high performance "Toyota RAV-4" type vehicle ... seems like another brilliant move like
spending billions to develop the overpriced SRT Viper, while ignoring the Ford Focus ST, and bringing out a SRT Dart that people
could afford, before the "Halo Car". BTW, Viper production has been halted ... can't compete with Corvette.

The Dodge Neon SRT-4 has been out of production for nine years. End of Rant.

It would be a hard choice for me between the Jeep or the dart. I love the looks of the dart but I could use a tall Wagon.

Remember that the Neon SRT-4 was supposed to have been a limited-production model... its popularity caught DCX off guard. With this in mind, why would a limited-production model Dart SRT be any different? I will be happy to see FCA succeed in making a WRX competitor where DCX failed big time.

I went to tell my wife the other day about the Dart getting AWD and 300HP. She already knew and agreed that we should get one. Not a new one but brand used.

Remember guys, this DART SRT is going to be on a different platform. The current Dart rides on the Fiat Compact Platform (same as the Alfa Romeo Giulietta) and Alfa just announced it's going all new awd/rwd. Soooooo there should be quite a bit of changes. I really hope it is light and powerful. That is all I care about. I am with Jerry though on buying a brand new one. No point. And we all know not to get the first model. If they make another model the next year it will probably be better and more refined. Remember the first year of the neon srt-4? It didn't have a LSD, had smaller injectors and less power then the 04-05's.

Subbing in the six-speed automatic for a six-speed manual transmission runs a hearty $1250 and brought the total to $23,070.
LOL, what a waste of money. Wait 4 years and get a used one for 10k with like 30k miles.
