It is really very easy, the hardest thing is to find end-connectors as in step 26 (that plug into cavity 13,14), the only way to find some of these is to buy another MFS pigtail as i did (at least that was my experience )..........or to buy the dodge MFS pigtail repair kit for like $60..WAY TOO MUCH......

on a side note, i would advice anyone doing this to buy the OEM dodge kit. by the time you are finished buying the MFS, Fogs, Light bulbs, and wiring, you are already spending nearly as much as the OEM kit .......

I may be... I will have to give them a cleaning. And they are untested. They are both from a 00 Plymouth So their are a couple of differences in the way they act.

Ok, so I did just what it told me too, and it works, BUT:

1) the fogs come on and stay on with low beams, the pull switch on the MFS does not turn them on or off.

2) If the pull switch is in the off position and I turn left, the fogs go out.

3) If the pull switch is in the on position the fogs work as normal.

The Fogs work as normal except for they always are on with headlights (go off with high beams). How do I wire them so the switch turns them off and on? I noticed in the instructions they are wired to only be hot with the low beams on, so I want use of the switch, how would I rewire them??

Thanks!

Ok, rewired back to stock, I have them hooked up correctly, and still have issue, I am thinking a faulty MFS... never know when you get a J/Y item

Hmmm, could be. Weird problems that you are having...could be a fubared switch.

Andrew im having the same problem as you. And my car came with fogs from the factory....

I also think its a faulty MFS.

When i push the switch back to turn off the fogs the fogs stays on. But then i move MFS around and i can get the Fogs to stay off until the MFS moves around again and turns them on.

Not from Chrysler, sorry :( They never did offer a kit for the '03-up...not sure why.

I was reading the Instructions above carefully and comparing it to the facory service manual that i have and also looking carefully at my car... the only difference that i notice is the fog lights shape (obviously) but as far as technical stuff such as wire colors, etc... i have no idea

Anybody knows if its possible to use this mopar fog light kit for my 03 sxt?

Will the round '03-up fog light fit the wiring harness from this mopar kit?

thanks

The multi-function switch and the bulbs are the same between '02 and '03. The harness hooks up to the bulbs, so in theory this kit will work. You won't be able to use the lamps that come with the kit of course, but everything else should work. Should.

Part #82207559...MSRP $180.00 49 still available as of this writing.

It is a Mopar accessory, so dealers are your best bet unless you are lucky enough to find one used...and complete...and not butchered :D

I have a MFS w/ Fog option from a 2000 plymouth and a full OEM wire harness with the connector that comes from the engine harness for sale. The MFS isn't listed, but i would be willing to let both go for $100 shipped to the US. I also think i have the 20pin grey connector that has the fog option that i would throw in for free.

Check out my for sale thread if interested.

Where can i by a fog kit for my 2000 plymouth neon, does anyone have one? or would i only be able to get it from the dealer?

Also does the kit come with the fogs itself?

Thanks

so im not sure if this deserves a new post, but my fog lights do not work .. the fog light light on the cluster lights up but the fogs dont go on.. also could it be a bad mfs.. the fog light on cluster will stay lit unless i push in the fog light swith towards the steering wheel even though it is already push in.. so it seems like it does not push in all the way to turn them off and needs an additional cm

Two things to check:

1 ). The foglight wiring that runs underneath the lower radiator core support -

This 'hangs loose' oftentimes, in a location that is easily damaged.
Repair and re-tuck as needed.

2 ). The MFS itself.
Has this already been replaced ?? If not, it may be time.

3). Check the plug at the MFS itself, for melting / damage
(another common problem.)

bump to revive. I have an 03 that came without fogs but last time I was under the car i believe I saw two connections where the fogs would go and a harness covered in the black plastic cable protector. Does anyone know if the 03s came with the harness regardless of whether or not it came with fogs? Will it be a simple plug fogs in, switch MFS, and insert proper fuse, or do I have a bit of jimmy rig wiring to do?

Normally if the connectors are there, they are capped with a dummy plug to keep them clean, and are tie wrapped to the harness.

They could be tucked away in the loom, but there is only one way to find out, if that is the case. Or if someone actually knows from experience.

In the end, you may be better off adding a relay to the PDC in one of the fan relay spots, and wiring it separately to the fogs. You will likely have better voltage than using factory wiring.

FWIW, non insulated spade connectors snap right into place in the unused fan relay positions in the PDC. You just have to remove the bottom cover.
