What do you mean ?
This thread here or the "paddle-thread" ?
At least the easiest way is to install and wire up the A/S-shifter like I wrote in the first post here, then swap the Neon-clusters and you´re done.
If you can´t get the neon-A/S-cluster, get the PT A/S-cluster and connect Pin1 and 2 with ground, 14 and 15 with Power and 26 with PCI (if you are willing to ignore the error-codes the parallel cluster will cause - haven´t done anything to fix this yet).
How-To: Install Autostick shifter/ cluster * finally working
So - did a little update on my construction.
First of all I asked over here for someone who could adjust the mileage on my Neon Autostickcluster. I prefer to use this but only with the correct mileage.
I found a company but they wanted 100 € for that...
I believe it´s just a plug and play thing with a correct tool.
(Anyone any experience with that kind of work on a neon cluster ?)
So I decided to work on the PT cluster first - so far it´s free
I took a DIY OBD Plug and wired up B+, ground and PCI.
Then discovered the pinout on the second (white) socket on the PT cluster
Here we need PIN9 for the fuel level signal
Pinout for the black socket on PT cluster
Plug for socket 1 (black)
Used:
PIN 1 ground
PIN 2 ground
PIN 4 B+ (solved "no FUSE" message)
PIN14 B+ (originally ignition switch RUN-START)
PIN15 B+ (originally ignition switch UNLOCK-RUN-START)
PIN26 PCI BUS
So I putted PCI directly through, all grounds together and let an additional end open for the fuel level sensor thing, all + together.
Used this type of cableshoe for PIN9 white socket
and so far it looked this way
Now I had to find out, which Voltage or resistance is needed and where to get fuel level signal in the right way.
On my research I did find out nothing from the manuals. So I decided to use an old neon tank and look inside...
This is the resistor
and separated
This is what you get, when fuel level is low
something like 50/50
and full
and here on the back of the cluster (sorry for that, but it will get nice sometimes...)
And now I can choose the fuel level and will maybe never run out of gas again
Finally for the moment: This way FUSE and fuel level problems are solved, when attaching the second cluster before you turn the ignition on, autostick is working.
Things left to solve -
1st of all - the radio display keeps on flashing with second cluster on. Don´t know, maybe the cluster needs to much power from B+ over OBD-socket ?
Anyone any idea ?
Then Airbag, Trac, ABS and brake lamps are flashing.
Airbag - maybe the cluster is awaiting sideairbags - don´t know,
ABS/ TRAC - not present, for sure - I have a spoiler on the trunk instead.
Brake - maybe I have to look for using PIN21 on the cluster (RED BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR DRIVER)
