If enough people like this mod I will do a how-to thread. Its fairly simple. I've had problems with the handbrake catching my sleeve when I bang gears. So I found this evo X handbrake laying in my garage pulled from one of the rolled evo's I parted out a few months ago. This requires no mods to the neon at all, and barely any to the evo handbrake to fit. It bolts up right to the stock mounting spot. Once you mount it, the handbrake will be canted to the passenger side. I have no center console, so I have no clue what it would look like with the center console installed. The biggest advantage is the fact the handbrake is adjustable. The brake light still work and I like the look of it. Opinions and criticism welcome.

I can see why it works better for a stripped interior.

But it may be a bit of a pain with a passenger seat there. Laughing

Besides passenger seat, the way you get the center console out would be a pain with that curve, maybe even size as well. I will say it looks better than stock and it's pretty cool that it just bolts up. Enjoy

If you wanted to go beyond just bolting it in, It could be made to set straight forward. It appears to be a bit shorter than the neon unit, so that may be a plus in getting the console in/out if it was pointing straight forward. I do like the easy adjustment feature.
