Id like to go with a 60mm TB

Currently I have the magnum intake manifold, is that the one worth working on?

With the Magnum head would that make another intake manifold a better choice?

I think I read up where the intake heads towards the TB the hard curve can decrease response so cutting and reshaping it straight helps the response?

I seen on ebay intake runners that you can weld your own pipe too.. I work at a fab shop so if its the best option I can do it..
Anyways just thinking a 70mm wide intake tube running across the 4 runners, 60mm TB on other side?
What are stock manifold sizes bored out?

Sorry for all the questions tying to turn this Neon into a competable 4 cyl fwd N/A street car

There are lots of ways to answer this.

You could go 'custom' and build your own manifold, which may not be a bad idea.
But before building your own....

I was able to get the inlet on my Magnum IM to 56/57mm. You have to be very careful to remember the lip on the inlet is not the actual outside thickness. Otherwise you may make it too thin or sand through. I used a 2" sanding drum on a drill - and frequent checking of the wall thickness. A little paranoia here goes a long way....

While it is not a perfect match to a 60mm TB, you are not going to utilize that extra few mm until you are hitting the rev limit anyways.

My Ghetto Blaster IM is a 3" ABS tube with a 60mm Ford TB direct mounted, and 1gn IM runners. I used the full runner length.

It does better at mid-higher RPM than the stock (non R/T) IM with a 60mm TB. I have yet to mount the Magnum IM to see how it compares. The weight of the Magnum IM is one of the things that has kept my motivation level down. It is pretty heavy compared to all other factory 2.0 IM's.

And just for reference, I have all the R/T stuff installed except the IM and the 3.94/.81 MTX. (3.55/.81)
