First, Welcome to the board. wave

As far as mufflers go .... Here are my personal favorites.
"Other opinions may vary" Smile

- Magnaflow muffler p/n 12266 (2.25 in) or 12265 (2.5 in.)
Probably the best-sounding Neon muffler (again, in my opinion.)

- 1st gen DOHC muffler -one of THE best, from a HP and flow perspective.
Plus, it is quiet, too.

- The 2nd gen R/T dual-outlet muffler. (getting hard to find.)
p/n 04546968AD is still available, but it's not cheap. Neutral

Unfortunately, the factory 1st gen DOHC muffler has been discontinued by Chrysler.
However, AP lists a part number (700404) which is basically an almost perfect match of the original.

I don't care for 'fart cans' or something that 'drones' and sounds 'ricey'.
I try to build my exhaust systems to flow well... but quiet.

Here is my current 2.5 in. setup on my 2000:

It has a Magnaflow catalytic converter, for a PT Cruiser ('bigger' for more flow) and header that I bought off E-bay; hooked up to a 2.5 in. exhaust and 36 in. long glasspack.
I finished it off with a Factory R/T muffler that I managed to score out of a junkyard.
It has a nice, deep tone.... But has a nice growl when I 'wind it through the gears'. thumbup
