2001 Dodge Neon SE

My winter project is to try and get more performance out of my 2001 SE. It will be a DD with occassional track day use. I plan to install a underdrive pulley, CAI, Atx TB, Magnum IM , head (polished), EM, header and PCM, and a better muffler ( recommendations?). I will be leaving the stock CAT and pipes. I expect to get at least R/T performance levels but what more should I get from the additional mods? Any suggestions/warnings? And I have read all the stickys on Magnum swaps.

ATX TB is the same size as the MTX on 2gn's. If you go with a more common 60mm TB, be sure to put a fresh o2 sensor in it. That will help immensely with throttle response. The R/T PCM also responds better to added E85 due to the better available timing and fuel. You just need more compression to really take advantage of it. (Which is a huge cost adder)

IIRC, the SRT TB has been bored to 55mm, but you will still need to fab an adapter to make it work with the regular neon IM.

BBK makes a 56mm TB for the V6 Ford Mustangs, but those are not cheap. Then you still need to make an adapter like the 60mm Mustang TB. The plus side to the V6 Mustang TB is the TPS mount holes look to be clocked correctly as where the V8 ones are 90 off.
