Well, if he keeps this crappy FCA stuff up, there will be no gross profit margin to look at. I just hope the Guilia takes off as it is a beautiful car. If not, I will happily wait 5 years and pay nothing for one (much like the Dart and 200). I think if the Guilia flops, FCA is done as a "car" company and they will only continue on a a CUV/SUV/truck company.

'We have other problems' sums up VW's thoughts on a Fiat Chrysler merger

More VW/FCA merger news:

After dismissing the thought, VW chief executive Matthias Mueller now says he is "not ruling out a conversation."
Volkswagen appears to have warmed to the idea of merger talks with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Rejecting a recent proposition from FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne, the German automaker's chief executive, Matthias Mueller, recently said "we have other problems" and claimed VW is "not ready for talks about anything."

Mueller has since backtracked, telling Reuters "I am not ruling out a conversation," though he is still critical of Marchionne's approach.

"It would be very helpful if Mr Marchionne were to communicate his considerations to me too and not just to you," he said.

Marchionne has attempted to court General Motors for several years without luck. GM's recent divestment of its Opel division, purchased by PSA Group, prompted Marchionne to turn his attention to Germany. He suggests the Opel-PSA entity "threatens VW most" by "creating a number-two on its heels."
Despite Mueller's willingness to engage in talks with Marchionne, he has downplayed the possibility of moving forward with a merger plan.

I'd be up for a VW diesel powered compact/midsize car.

Why doesn't Sergio just shut FCA down and lay everyone off then? The company hasn't been able to come up with any sucessful new car ideas (notice how quickly the 200 and Dart were discontinued), they just keep recycling old Daimler designs. His "merger" mentions in the press are getting embarassing.

Tard Bang How is this embarrassing ? He's merely trying to achieve "economies of scale"... VW already has viable small and mid-size cars,
but Volkswagen doesn't have vehicles to compete successfully with Jeep and Ram pickups.

VW already rebadges FCA minivans. Or used to, not sure if they still are, with the Pacifica now being a minivan.

Minivans haven't been something I've really kept up with since the 1st gen's were replaced with the more aero body styles.

It's embarassing since GM's CEO has stated many times that the company is not interested in a possible merger. I mean, how many times does she have to say 'no' to him in the press?

By the way, I really don't appreciate your labeling me as "retarded" just because I expressed my opinion. Please try to refrain from this in the future. Thank you.

The tires don't look right for a "street car" ... my guess would be a "drag pak" Challenger Shocked

http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/challenger/drag-pak-2016.html

Maybe. However if the interior pictures are those of the same car that there are exterior pictures, then it's not a Drag Pak. Drag Pak's don't have radios.

They also don't have Nitto tires.
