Hi All,

I want to thank this site for all the awesome information I was able to use to repair and upgrade my 2003 Neon SXT, (200K and running) I have been a total lurker for years on this forum just reading away. I am a total amateur at this and all repair/replacements were my first time.

With the help of this forum and a little bit of youtube, I was able to:
Install a CAI
Springs, Struts, and Sway bars
Control Arms with new Bushings
R/T Intake Manifold (butterflies not working yet, but soon)
Install a P&P'd Mag head
Install a Camshaft (Comp 400)
Install a UDP
timing belt and tensioner & water pump
Torque Struts and center motor mount

Just pulled off an R/T header in junkyard and will install it with new cat as soon as I get an O2 bung welded in header (I can't wait)

Thanks again 2GN.org!

Ryan

Glad that the site's years of accumulated information has been helpful to you. IMO, this is one of the reasons why the site remains valid even with all of the FB attention.

If the R/T's catalytic converter is still on that JY car, I would grab it too. The inlet is a bit larger, and it would save you from having a bung welded in, though having an extra still isn't a bad idea, so you can use a wide band if needed, or if you have to get a regular converter set up down the road, it will be there.

I would just use the R/T flex joint with a universal converter over a bolt on replacement, as even the Magnaflow replacement converter has a worse inlet than the standard 2.0 unit.

Good to have you here! My 2003 is just behind yours at 198k miles. Still drive it hard, still like it after many years.
