new intake manifold??

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Best bet is to get a Magnum manifold and if you have the money get it ported and polished. The INDY manifold is way overkill in a near stock setup.

I may have a complete Magnum intake availabe for sale in the not too distant future if you're interested. But the Indy is overkill, you'll have to do some top-end work before considering that.

Nick at NRGY Heads does AWESOME! work and is probably the best place out there to have Neon Manifolds and Heads done.

Yeah, I've got the Indy and it really killed bottom end power. I have a ton of other supporting mods to make it worth while up top and even now it's still too big for the engine. I would only recommend the Indy if you want to put a turbo on the car.

If you want to make top end power then the Indy is the best choice, but you need to run it with a cam, long tube header, etc. It is very good choice. At one time a ported stock manifold was a good idea, but now it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. A stock unported Indy will give you about what a stock ported intake will.
