Hmm okay well I don't know where to start. Long story short in May of 2008 I bought an OB 2005 SRT4 with 55k Miles. The interior was Mint and I could tell the car was well taken care of. The car already had some mods:

*Injen SRI
*Prothane Race Inserts
*AGP Wastegate
*Blue LED's in the Cluster and Boost Gauge.

**These pics were taken the day I got the car so they show the above mods not the below. I got my girlfriends' camera today so I am going to try and get some new pics**

For the last few months I have been doing the basic maintainence stuff and getting stuff back to where it should be:

*New Tires Sumitomo HTR ZIII's (205-50-R17) to replace the 215's on the car

*New Autometer 30/30 Boost Gauge to replace the busted OEM one.

*Zip Tied EVERYTHING in the engine bay.

*Switched to Full Synthetic Mobil 1.

Beginning this month I finished my plan and I have now started executing it.

*Picked up Mopar/Borla Exhaust ($280 Local and it had few miles on it ... looked new)
*Picked up 3" O2 Housing for ($50 Local)
*Ordered QHS Catless Downpipe

I have already installed the Borla and will do the Downpipe and O2 Housing once the Downpipe comes in. Much Much more to come.

I like it, the little M on the wing is different. I might have to do that to mine. Also reminds me, I need to get everything ziptied on mine when we get the lines in the right places.

Glad to see another OB on the forum! Looks good, what do you have in mind for suspension?

Coilovers. I find anything else to be a bandaid and/or a stopgap measure between the stock suspension and coilovers. However, I am not sure when I will go this route. For now, and wil the pothole filled roads here in FL, not sure I want to go lower.

Good plan on the coil-overs thumbup The MP/KW coil-overs don't drop your car a crazy amount, and the handling is incredible while not destroying ride quality Very Happy

Project is on hold indefinitely due to unforseen life difficulties. I'm sure most of you have seen the thread about the street racing ticket (I wasn't racing) and now the damage from hitting something that a jackass kid put in the road (trashcan was over the white line and fucked up the side of my car).

Working to pay for all that has caused me to have to put this project on hold.

Update:

Now that the Street Racing Stuff is over and I am now just trying to get caught up with everything I have gotten some stuff done. Car has also rolled over to 70k Miles.

1. Got my Bugger Bushings installed. Yes they made a large difference.

2. As per reccomendations from several people I put a separate small breather on the Valve Cover Vent instead of connecting it to the short ram intake.

Some things need to be done soon.

*Clutch - Will need to be done soon. I was thinking about doing another stock clutch as my HP Goal is around 290 to 300HP which is the upper limit of the stock clutch. I may go with the Mopar Performance Clutch.

*Bushings - Was going to do the prothane bushings everywhere
*Brakes - Been doing research but haven't found anything definitive ... Was thinking I would just turn the stock rotors and get some hawk pads and the braided brake line kit and see how it works out

Been thinking about going to a ported stock turbo ... wish there was more people out there with them.

If anyone is actually following this I will post some pictures from my recent trip to tenessee and your feedback on my banter above is welcome.

sounds like a plan. Your gonna love the prothane bushings. The mopar clutch is good, but you could probably get a strong clutch for the same price. i paid 575 shipped for my ACT clutch with the light weight flywheel from revolution-motorsports.com. I think my clutch is rated for 450-500 tq

Update:

Brakes and Clutch stuff are still being researched but I have at least decided on a plan at this point. I picked up a Stage 2 w/Toys PCM for $100 Bucks locally and I spoke with Mike at forward motion. Here is the plan (at least for the engine half of this project).

1. Stage 2 w/Toys Complete Setup: I want Stage 2 for the 3 Bar MAP Sensor. I don't want a MAP Clamp and I definitely want to boost past the limits of the stock MAP Sensor (Around 19lbs) without a clamp. Stage 2 also runs insanely rich because its such a conservative tune. Keep reading this will start to make sense.

2. Ported Stock Turbo from Forward Motion, Also Known as an E1 or Enforcer 1 Turbo. Has Mild Clip on the Blades and a bigger wheel. This slightly bigger stock turbo should help to lean out the Stage 2 Mixture a bit and will benefit from the 3 BAR Map sensor as I am staying PCM Controlled Boost. I will also be investing in a Pyrometer to monitor my EGTs as such boost levels will most certainly mark a rise in my EGTs.

With this setup I should be close if not spot on my 300HP Goal for this project. I plan to do some bolt ons to help the midrange such as a 62MM MPX Throttle Body, Ported Intake Manifold, 3" O2 Housing and 3" Catless Downpipe to go along with my 2.5" Mopar Exhaust, Will likely be looking into getting some new 2.0L Cams or Crower Stage 1 Cams (254° 249° intake/Exhaust Duration).

Any feedback or comments welcome.

Don't forget to grab some cam gears for those Crowers. You should be at 300 or more with the E1, might have a bit of problems with the 2.5 exhaust though.

I was looking a them. I can't find much on the Crower Stage 1 Cams though in terms of reviews.

Do you know which cam gears fit under the stock timing cover?

Update:

Found a complete Mopar Toys Bezel and Wiring Harness. Only thing missing is the Sprayer Pump. Got it for a steal too $125. I am pending on some Stage 2 Injectors as well from a great seller on this forum.

All thats left to find would be the 3Bar MAP/TIP Sensors. Woo!

Findaza's should be fine. They can be had for $150 shipped for both on ebay if you look

Sounds like you have a good plan. I was thinking about going the route witht he Stage 2 injectors, Diablosport, ported turbo, etc etc. Then I came across a great deal on a complete Stage 3 kit and couldn't pass it up.

Update:

Still haven't secured the 3 Bar Sensors (MAP/TIP) BUT I did get some goodies in today, I just love boxes at the door:

*Mopar Toys Wiring Harness and Bezel.
*Blown Stock Turbo

After looking over the toys harness, I can say I am not missing any wiring or the such, I will need 1 new blue LED as the one that is on the harness is broken, and the PCM Connections will need new pins soldered on, but everything is there as far as wiring goes. The intercooler sprayers are all there and is complete up to the 4 to the check valve. I am going to need the Sprayer Pump and Water Filter to complete that. Not bad for $125 Very Happy.

The Blown turbo is to be used as a core to Forward Motion so I can order my E1 without taking my working turbo off the car until I am ready to install it. I hope to be ordering the Turbo soon as the Taxes come back.

Yeah I'm excited. With a DSP Tune I am hoping to be in the 320's after some more bolt ons. I am going to try and Dyno the car as it sits now and then with the Stg2 (HOM and non-HOM) and then with the ported turbo so I can really see the gains.

Fidanzas do not fit under the stock timing cover. The only ones that do are the Unorthodox Racing gears, and not only are they discontinued, but they are $400 versus $150.

Seems like you have a great mod path going....can't wait to see the finished product.

Hmm you are correct I suspected this but wasn't sure. I would really like the cam gears to fit under the timing cover as I don't want the belt to be exposed. I wonder how often the unorthodox gears show up on ebay? Well at this point I am thinking a bit ahead. I need to finish piecing together my Stage 2 Toys Kit (Only need the Map/Tip Sensors now) and get the Ported Turbo ordered.

Once I get there I will post another update and mod idea list.

Came in the car. Didn't like them so I tossed them out.

Also, that thread on SRT Forums, DC states that he doesn't know if the upper cover fits and that you still have to shave the mm. With all the talk of the cracks and shit I am going to try and find some unorthodox gears.
