Since Blair asked for one, I figured I would post the threads that I was involved in and was eventually lead to my ban. I can't remember exactly what thread, probably the one that I did a cost comparison in.

Fuel Economy Championships (Only had one post hear)
http://priuschat.com/forums/fuel-economy/49378-world-fuel-ecomony-championships.html

Racing Prius (again minimal involvement, my first post is on page 4)
http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-modifications/34553-racing-prius.html

I do believe that this is the Golden Child:
http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-main-forum/16425-prius-talking-points.html

Those are the bad ones. I know I posted in a couple others, but I couldn't find where I posted.

Disclaimer: I do not condone trolling. I was bored so I went to town. Was it right, probably not. Did it put a smile on my face, yes.

Hah! Now you can't get mad at me for being mean

ROFL

Final Tally
Comfort: Caliber
Fuel Economy: Prius
Power: Caliber
Cargo space: Caliber
Price: Caliber

I'd prolly take a prius over a caliber...they're so fucking ugly. It's the lesser of two uglies.

To help you with Dodge Caliber talking points, the Caliber came in third in the Gaywheels.com Top Ten, 4 places higher than the Prius. That would be the only place I've seen the Caliber more highly rated

LMAO!!!!!!

haha...why on earth would you use a caliber to try and combat prius drivers? Calibers suck...

I do agree with all of your points against the Prius though. I rode in one once...now I was drunk but I do remember how uncomfortable they are and how slow they are in every situation. It's just an expensive version of an econobox that people think is revolutionary, and that it is going to save the environment.

Little do people know, that driving a car like this wont do anything for the environment as long as China, India and the rest of the developing nations keep industrializing. Lax regulations and and heavy industry will always trump any attempts by Americans to save the environment...

Get the Race organisers to change the RULES.

Because of the times we are in with everyone concentrating on Oil, motorsport people should add a new category to their existing line up and introduce rules for a new competition that rations energy, this would run alongside traditional fastest time wins (no limit on Gas)

A hybrid category could limit the amount of fuel you have for a whole event. This would be a real test of skill and driving efficency. Fastest time would still win but the skill of the driver would count for more. If he could keep momentum and save energy he gets rewarded by being able to use more accelerator where it counts.

Let me give an example

If Formula 1 changed to a new rule of say a total of 200 litres of fuel Inc all testing etc for a weekend it would really cause a stir and frantic development of new technologies.

Let the car design, propulsion system, shape weight etc be a free for all.(apart from Crash worthiness)
There would be a set distance to cover in the actual race and quickest past the post would win, but ....all limited to a set amount of fuel. If you run out you lose.
Racing used to be all about technology and innovation along with driver skill. this might be a way to return to racing roots.
Le Mans 24hr race might be more suitable place to start as Diesels have won this year and last.

A watered down version of this, might just work at your autocroos events...it wouldn't hurt to ask !!!

I am going to kill the first person who goes anywhere with this, it dosent even make sense actualy it does if you are the typical prius driving weenie "we cant live up to the hype and we cant keep up therefore the rules should be changed to accomidate us. SCCA has done quite a few stupid things since my involvment began this would be by far the worst.

Why compare the caliber? Because it is Dodges entry level "econocar"

I am one of the few here that actually like the caliber. I acknowledge that it is not a car, it is a mini crossover.

Laughing

You would have to move the drivers seat back a good 4 feet so that the exhaust wouldn't be half an inch from your arm. A big block or a small block would be better because of physical dimensions.

Or you could use a Heartley v8 and actualy have some of the technology that the "prius engineers"(people who can read the brochure and then speak as if they know what the fuck they are saying) rave about.

Post resurrect (just because I love this one).

A few friends of mine were talking at work wondering if a 4G63 setup would fit into a Prius. THEN, it might be a bit dangerous to watch TV while driving. Smile

nah, it would be 18V DeWalt batteries.

The battery pack is made up of a bunch of 7.2V packs.
