If you consider Scott Mohler's car a neon than I guess its the fastest N/A I think 10.05 was his best

Len Aylaa might still be the fastest street car with a 9.xx

If we're talking just on the 2gn board, it's different. Just 2gn cars, just SRT's, or all neons?

neons. How fast are they on here. No camaros, no vegas, no fucking acme rocket golf carts.

If you took your seat out for a run, fine. But it's not like you roll on Kirkeys.

This thread is fail. If I made a "how to paint your interior" I'd have a 1,000 responses lol

i would say jerry is pretty close in the all motor or all motor with spray section.

i hope to lay down a 13.9 when my motor is all broken in.
looking for 12's when i get the nitrous setup done. (100-150 shot)
Yup it definately needs to go lower. If its not scrapeing constantly why you are driving then its not low enough bro.
Chill out a little Keith, it's not that serious. You asked a generic question and there are plenty of people here that don't have Neons.

Off the top of my head:

Jerry = 14.6 on the motor, 13.5 on the juice
Mox = 11.9 Stage 3 SRT
Me = 16.11 in my stock SXT
Theres a guy in the UK running low 15s on the motor.
and then your SRT, what ever it runs now.

I know there's more, just can't think of it. These are all forum members.

When I finally get my project started I hope to be in the 13s on a lightly modded n/a engine and who knows on the juice. But that won't fit into your criteria. Single seat, no registration.

When my engine is finished breaking in, I'd be willing to be I have one of the fastest 2gn N/A that's still active here. There's probably more performance to be gained going megasquirt as well.

It went 12.5, cooking the clutch the whole way. Later on the same day, it did a 13.4 on street tires, still burning em up at the 1/8 mile for a 117mph pass. I'll probably go back in a couple weeks and see if she's in the mood for a 10.

Frank, there is that guy j0n who went 15.4 or 15.6 in that N/A 04 SXT with just a shifter and CAI and inserts. I know unsuperman went 15.6's all motor too.

Nothing wrong with me having no rear seats and a corbeau drivers seat in my DD. The car went 15.7's with full interior and a header, intake, and computer.

I am the first guy in ontario to put a dohc in my 2nd gen with a megasquirt setup and let me tell ya the car is fast and thats with no turbo , no a/c or p/s. Other than that it is a lx neon with all power options and a carbon fiber hood. I am using a 3.55 trans and might be using a srt-4 turbo setup with the dohc motor. Stay tuned for track updates.

its been almost 2 years since I put down that time. Stage 3 and a few other modifications. It feels like forever since I daily drove an 11 second neon.

I remember getting the time slip and throwing my hands into air and saying "Done!" I did exactly what my goal was for the car and then soon after I wanted to trade it in for something different.

yes, I'm bored and figured I'd bump this thread.

Mox, that's how I felt with my 13.5 pass. Ran, I was like "eh, it was a decent run", got the slip, and was lik e"OMG, I NEED A HELMET WOOOOO".

Took the slicks off and watched the rest of the day.

9/25/2010: 1GN. '95 ACR, 2.4 on MegaSquirt. Rough tune, no dyno time yet. First time for me on slicks. 10.5:1, Crane 18's, SRT-4 rods, headwork.

N/A 13.71@100.04 MPH

Gutted, no lexan, no passenger seat. Street legalish.

The first 60' makes the pass. Work on that part. If you have about 200 WHP it's possible. I forsee high 13's for you though. Street tires just don't have the traction needed, unless they're like Falken Azenis tires.
