For those interested in this project, I’m still working on it. Slowly but surely.

The final product should look very close to this.

If I had money, the prototype would have been done a long time ago. Twisted Evil

Everything is pretty much done with the design stuff, it has been done for a while (though I keep making changes, making a better, more refined design). I just have to put together some hard copies of the information needed to machine the parts and get some final price quotes. There are 18 custom parts that need to be machined for the manifold (78 parts total with all the nuts and bolts holding it together).

This one is being designed with "streetability" in mind.

Streetable depends also, on how skilled your right foot is.

With enough practice, a 65mm Mustang TB is very streetable. To a novice, the engine will fall on it's face, even thinking about hitting the throttle.

These will be no different. Don't expect to go WOT at 1000 rpm, and take off like a rocket. It won't happen.

Look at it this way, the sweet sound they're going to make will make up for the slightly compromised usability of throttle range below 3000 rpm.

You will have to limit your urge to go to the floor, and keep it within 25% of throttle opening for most normal driving. But with a down shift to 3rd at 65, I'd bet these will pull you to 90 in no time, with a better than stock cam.

Kind of like driving with an Indy manifold in an n/a set up. Realy ITB's are not that hard to get used to.

Though I have put a lot of effort in the throttle plate size, shape on the inside of the runner, shape of the actuator mechanism the throttle cable rides on (I spent A LOT of time on this part!) and managing vacuum for the MAP. So hopefully the right foot won't have to deal with too much stuff. Razz

It'll take more than $1k to get this project going, unless there is a machinist who is willing to work for free. Smile

If anyone out there is a machinist and has access to a CNC mill/lathe, I'd be happy to provide technical details to make a one-off manifold. I'd just like to see my design turned into reality thumbup

Have you thought about contacting OBX, Hayward Performance, or other companys that already make ITBs and see if you could get a limited run or group buy? That might speed up the process a little bit.
