HELP!! radiator drain plug?
HELP!! radiator drain plug?
so i recently thought i blew my radiator on my 2000 neon manual, i found out its just the cock plug, after going to my local autoparts store and them giving me the wrong one 3 times in a row i am frusterated. i was wondering if anyone knew what size the drain plug is and if a bolt would work to put in there?? if looking at the motor it is on the lower right hand side (drivers side) any help would be great!! thanks
just have two radiators out of ATX-neons laying around but am wondering if that plug will be different ...
I suggest you should search on a junkyard for a neon to get this thing out or you may ask your friendly local sanitary installer to close this port for you. I did with mine and it´s running fine (I had a broken ATX-radiator).

If you can plug it and it not leak, it will be fine. The downside is, you will have to remove the lower hose to drain it. Which could get messy.
