17x9 on neon R/T

Post by yyourb0yy » Thu May 09, 2013 11:21 pm

I can get a set of 17x9 +30 rota grids with good tires (215/45/17) for a really good deal.
I know these fit on an srt-4 with stock struts.
Right now I'm running srt-4 wheels with 215/45/17 tires with lots of clearance with tokico blues. My question is will the wheels fit on my car, or will the lower strut perch get in the way? Will they fit with 5mm spacers? Does anyone have pictures of 17x9's on a non srt neon?

P.S. I've used the search function. I can't find what I'm looking for.

If you're running the same tire size now all you need to worry about is offset. 215/45 will have a bit of stretch on a 9" wide wheel anyway. They may rub being only a +30. They should fit for sure with 5mm spacer but dont quote me. Stoxk is 17x6 +40. You can use the calculator in the wheel section to conpare the 2.

Thanks for the response. I used the size calculator. It looks like it'll fit as long as it clears my brakes. If not, I'll get some spacers. I think I'm going to buy the wheels. I'll throw up some pictures when they're on.

Sorry guys I completely forgot to post pictures! Anyway, I got pulled over for them a few days ago. Here is the link to the post I made about it on my other forum if anyone is interested: http://www.xceedspeed.com/forums/showth ... p?t=227013
But here are pictures:

I had to grind this bar down a couple millimeters where the wheel sits:

Thanks man. I got pulled over because they stick out past the fenders. He didn't give me a ticket though.

Yep that's why. He was making laws up though so he didn't look stupid for pulling me over for nothing. Also, these possibly could've been someones wheels on here at one time. I bought them off a Subaru owner on my other forum. He told me he bought them from an srt-4 owner in Akron, OH.

That answers my question about tire size, he ran a 215/45 I think. That's gotta be him.. car and location are correct
