that Omni is a cincinnati local. his name is james reeves and he was running mid/high 10s that day.
quote from a local site here:
"Full interior, through the muffler, 100% street legal. 2.5L 8 valve SOHC with stock rods, crank, and block.
Previous best was a 10.97 @ 129+, new features include a big WG can to hold 30lbs of boost, and alcohol injection. Should be about 500ft lbs of torque at the wheels now"

MMM, makes me wonder what my old Daytona would have really run....
88 C/S Daytona
Garret T-04, over spooled to run 35+ psi of boost
2.2 T2 bottom end:
Forged crank,forged rods, KB pistons all balanced
8 32lb injectors, 4 pcm contolled, 4 wide open at 18psi w/ 70 psi of fuel pressure...
Timing was around 32deg advanced at full boost......
All through a lightened daytona with propane injection for the extra octane boost and intake cooling.....
I guessed 11sec 1/4's but possibly 10's??
