AOBE Map Clamp Wiring For 2gn's

Post by z3roneo » Sun Aug 20, 2006 12:10 am

Gonna be wiring up my AOBE aka Map Clamp up hope fully tomorrow and I wanted to see if the info. I found on the org was right or not for the 2gn's....

*Wire's on AOBE (Dashina's map clamp):
Black is Ground
Red is 5v source
White is Signal Wire

*Map sensor (on car :P )
Black/Blue Stripe is the Ground
Purple/White Stripe is the 5v Source
Green/Red Stripe is the Signal Wire

So it'll hook up like this:
AOBE----to----Map Sensor
Black -> Black/ Blue stripe
Red -> Purple/White Stripe
White -> Green/Red Stripe

Is this correct??? Also if it is can this also be a sticky?? I like make things eaiser for peeps... 8)

Just go to RadioShack and get yourself another Potentiometer and replace the one thats in the box and it'll be good as new...

I'll take some pics and hopefully write up a How-to on installing the AOBE... Maybe in the morning... Need to pick up somemore batteries for the Digi-cam..

I purchased everything according to these Part #s and the potentiometer is only .75 watt. Is this what could have been wrong with the old one as well? it was adjustable but only within .2v not enough to make a difference

You need a way to monitor your AFR unless you want to lean out your car and go KABOOM!

Plus I have mine going all the way into the cabin. Its right above my steering wheel shroud, so I can adjust it on the fly and during different weather or when I cant get my 94 oct mix and have to make it with 91 oct. =/

I always though about making these to sell on my site.
