2004 Dodge Neon R/T

I took my 04 r/t neon to the first test n tune in PA. Fastest time was 14.0 @ 102mph. 60' was a 2.400. I cut a 2.30 on the next pass but 2nd gear blew the tires off and 3rd gear afr's were 13.9 so i had to let off and coasted part of the way. still ran a 14.8 at 85mph. Not bad for not hitting full boost until 4500rpms. on 12psi. If i get the videos that my brother took maybe i will post them. I was wondering what are some times people are getting with a S16g turbo?

Get slicks, or very sticky street tires. 102MPH is def good for bottom 13's on slicks.

slicks will be eventually by the end of the season. What size tires and rims do you guys recommend? I have a S16g and downpipe on the way. That will help me get boost alittle earlier. I still have the walboro 255 to put in and control arm bushings. I also have a comp 400 but I dont know if that will help that much to make it worth the work. I believe I wouldve hit 13's if I could of got my stock clutch to hold. I have a ACT clutch sitting here also waiting to go in. I just wanted to see what I could get with mainly stock parts. Im thinking of starting a progess log since this neon is about to evolve once again.lol (my wallet just got really lite all of a sudden.)

I'd look into either 23x8x15 or 24.5x8x15 slicks. They'll absorb a lot of your wheel hop, and you can launch hard as balls on them. Just bring axles with you. If you plan on staying at the power level you're at, go with the 23's. If you plan on making more power down the road, get the 24.5's. You'll need to use spacers on the 24.5 slicks, atleast 5MM. The pair I used were mounted on snowflake wheels.

I did not have it dyno yet. I ran at Numidia Dragway. Up there on mt. olympus. I just switched to a smaller turbo so hopefully I get some better results. Probably wont happen until I get my clutch done. I wanted to run today since there was a srt meet scheduled for the track, but its pouring rain here. Thanks for slick size. I have some more parts and tuning to get done before I can run them. If anyone has a decent set laying around, I have a few parts and cash to offer.

Black csrt4 is my brothers, his best that day was 12.00@118
Orange csrt4 is a friends, didnt get to see his best pass but he locked the clutch up in it anyway.
