SRT swap

Doing a SRT-4 Motor swap into your Neon, maybe even a 2.4... have questions about it, what you'll need or what issues you'll run into? Answers can be found in here.

Plannin this in the near future, anyway i was tradin the how tos in the srt forum an found a boost solenoid delete using resistors in the pigtails an it says yyou must have an aftermarket wastegate. would this eliminate the need to swap the body harness? Hopee i made sense thanks.

Since you have an '03, the body harness should already be compatible.

Just to clarify, I've realized a lot of people that aren't very educated on this call the engine bay harness the body harness which I'm guessing you are too by your question. To answer it, no... that will not solve your problem.

You will need an engine bay harness as well as the engine harness. the actual body harness (under dash to back by tail lights) does not need to be swapped. The engine bay harness has more than just solenoid wiring on it. Wiring for TIP, IAT and a few other things are all different. your best bet is to find an engine bay harness on ebay. I've seen people try to cut corners and use a non SRT bay harness only to end up having to buy one and swap it out.

thanks for help, ive reread the srt4 swap sticky numerous times so i dont know how i missed it but my answer was found on page 7 lol.

No problem. Just don't want you to end up getting everything in then realizing you really do need the engine bay harness.

Thanks i wanna make sure i have it all in front of me when I'm rdy to do it. one last question my car is keyless entry so it already had the skim. would i just need an srt ecm an have my vin flashed to it or would i still need it from the car the ecm came from

SKIM and keyless entry are two separate systems, but the answer is still yes you just need your VIN flashed in the SRT pcm and everything will work fine. As a matter of fact... See my signature? I can do that for you when you're ready, just PM me and we can talk.
