Hey Everyone

New to the Neon world, but not the car scene.

A few years back i bought my first neon and have had 3 of them since. This is my last/current one and its been a great little car. I've had/worked on Ford; Chevy, Hondas and more, ...and never expected to fall in love with these little 4 bangers.

So far its only got mild modifications and bolt ons, with no real extensive building. I am in the process of a ground up motor build however. Building it on the SOHC base, with a magnum head and going turbo. Not 2.4, but 2.0l 16v sohc turbo.

------------------------------------------

2000 Chrysler Neon SE
2.0l 16V SOHC
5 Speed
Blk on Red

So far i have:

Oversized throttle body (from auto)
throttle cable mod (shortened and slackless)
ported and polished air (intake, and tunnel ram)
custom forced tunnel ram cold air
full synthetic fluid change
performance coil and wires

custom satin black on red paint
custom tail lenses
17" Falken wheels
custom graphite on tan (two tone) interior
"dodge" steering wheel cover

Full new front end (links, ties, b-joints, upper arms, struts)...
on a brand new subframe coated in por 15

---------------------------------------------

I'm happy to be involved here on the site.

I want to juice out every 1/2 hp i can from this SOHC (not because its the best way to go, but because its a challenge). I don't intend on bodykitting it.

My future plans are all for speed, with some minor things like window tint, wheel spacing and a very subtle lowering.

I love my little car and i hope you all like it too.

Let me know what you think!
Thanks, and its good to meet you all!

Switching this up if there are still viewers.

Putting in a turbo soon. New Pistons, rods, bearings, overbite etc

Yeah

Been busy as hell with work, but I found and acquired my turbo setup. Was based off the eagle talon. Found a better donor car/motor as well with 123k on the motor.

Was driving today, my Friday afternoon. Beautiful sun, windows open. Drove for like 4 hours. Went into my hometown and showed off a bit.
Car is fast now with what I have already done. And sound, wow.

I need to get this thing blown though. My top speed is maxing out way to low, I have Rpm to spare and no more throttle. Sad

Going through my old photos now, and new ones for a progress/build thread as I get more parts in!

Meh, I see a reason to the right in that pic not to worry too much about top speed....
