No harm in putting red ones in either i guess, i never even thought about it actually. It only took me 10 minutes and 5 bucks to install, lol. Next time in the city i'll pic some reds up and give it a shot. _________________

how did you do that exactly? i mean i understand the concept, but what specifically did you have to do? i bought some yellow super bright LEDs a few years ago to do that with and never got around to it. it looks cool, btw, even for a rice mod. _________________ i granchi li possiedono tutti! hanno piegato prima dei granchi ed elemosinano misericordia!! |

werd yeh it does hahaha. cars looks damn good though. if you put red in it would make it look more evil and posessed. my friend had some red in his, but just not as bright as your blue light up the housing. anyways with the red his car looks all posessed and stuff haha red woudl probably flow better in there too. either way looks good _________________ -Brad

It was really simple. I just drilled a hole the size of the led bulb, right underneath where the headlight screws in. Then i just squeezed the led through the hole, till it was nice a snug in there. You can use silicone glue or whatnot to seal it, but mine was so snug I didn't need to.
Then I just grounded the negative wires, and wired the positive into my foglight fuse using a fuseable link, then out to a switch. The reason why it projects so well, is because it is behind the reflector. Some people i've seen just pop the led in from the top, and you can see the led, which doesn't give off such a nice affect.
I'm going into the city tomorrow, and I'll pic up some reds. I'll probably keep the blues in there, and install the reds beside it, so depending on my mood, I can pic and choose when i want the blues on and when i want the reds on.
Thanks for the feedback BTW |

Showing my age again I will pull this outta' my rear. Anyone remember that movie "Maximum Overdrive" where all of the lawnmowers and soda machines, and the truck with the Green Goblin face get possessed and attack the truck stop to an AC/DC soundtrack?
Those glowing headlamps just brought me back.....very cool man. _________________ 01' Neon ACR - SOLD - Its Alive!Thx Sean!

I've seen that--not because I'm old, lol, I just watch a lot of movies--and I can totally see where you're coming from lol.
It does look good though. Red woulda probably look better but the blue doesn't hurt it one bit. |

You should hook them up to your alarm LED, then they'll blink on and off when you set it, or you could hook the reds up next to them and hook them up with inverted polarity against the alarm LED, so the blues and reds will blink against eachother......that would be hot! _________________ -Chris

lol, that would be pretty cool, although I think I'd attract a lot of unwanted attention with that.
I could hook up some pigtails in the wiring so when i want to just have it for show, I could disconnect and reconnect to the alarm led ouput in seconds.
Great ideas peeps! _________________

Could be either. There was "Maximum Overdrive", and "Trucks." I couldnt say which was better, they were both pretty over the top, but I watched them both as often as possible. _________________ He is unworthy of the name of man who is ignorant of the fact that the diagonal of a square is incommensurable with its side.

Over The Top was a good movie too. Its an old Sylvester Stalone movie. Basically he is a truck driver & he enters this arm wrestling competition cause he needed a new truck & the winner wins a sweet 18 wheeler. there's alot more to the story _________________ - Dan

I just used one per headlight. Its installed right under the light. You can't see it unless you look up at it because the deflector hides it. _________________
