My roomate in college had one (MTX). It was very quick (for the era). I've never been in an ATX? My roomate could keep up with 5.0 Mustangs of the time (he had a minor pulley upgrade). You don't see too many decent ones still on the road.

That's about right for City driving. We had an 01 Alerho 2.4. We got around 22-24. If the wifey drove, it made 24:)

If you are spending any money, save and spend a little more to get a decent brand. Boss might equal a tiny step above stock (very tiny). You can definately get a better HU for ~$100 (even at Crutchfield).

Yikes -- sorry man. That really sucks. Is the scratch down to the bare metal? If not, try some Megs ScratchX several times.

You should post a picture of yourself in your dash. If only you'd caught them in the act...

With 3 or 4-ways, you'll be over-powered by highs (along with the stock dash speakers). I'd ditch the stock dash speakers, and go with a decent set of components.

It blends in real nice. I'd be PO'd if I spent $45 on a knob, and it faded all nasty like that (within 1 year).

This is why the E-bay feedback system sucks. I've never left feedback -- except for someone who was already banned. I've had several deadbeat buyers who didn't pay, but I've never left them Negative feedback. REASON: "there's nothing stopping them from doing the same!". I always file disputes when I...

Custom STSs - JEGS and Summit Racing both sell Hurst shift rods, like the one that comes on the Hurst assembly pictured in the above post. I have done, and am currently working on, custom STS using the Hurst rod top w/the Maddog STS base. This gives you the Hurst look, and, not just front to back r...

Maddog = A+ Mopure = A Hurst = B Mopar = B- All rod-only = C- ...at least that's what I gather from what I read. I have none of the above (yet). The only reason I would buy Hurst would be for looks. Thanks everyone. I was thinking of doing the grill pieces in body color, but I was afraid I wouldn't get that perfect match. Plus, I'm an amatuer when it comes to spraying. I sanded the chrome with 220 grit. Used Rustoleum Plastic primer, and 3 coats of Rustoleum Satin Black (wet sanding with 2000 g...

Yeah. I don't mind the moldings -- since they are body color. I've read too many posts on "moldings removals gone bad". Also, it was a real pain to remove the little glue from the emblems (heat + WD40 + Goo Gone & still alot of patience. I think I'll keep them for the protection. I do like the looks...

Debadged, painted grill trim, and shine - lots o' pics

Nothing much here. I recently debadged (something I said I would never do), painted the chrome grill trim a Satin Black, and spent a couple of Sundays detailing. Here's the outcome, and the products I used: 2 Bucket Wash: Wax Shop (using up Big Lot's special) Wax: Turtle Wax Titanium Ultra Gloss Tir...
