The ALT belt is tight as it can be. Problem is the auto tensioner is at MAX. Which means is not appling (sp) pressure on the belt. Put a load on it, ie: a/c, it'll squeal.

MPx support sucks. 5040500 belt is too big. I don't drive the car often but everytime I start it, the belt squeals or when I need a/c. Tried 2 belts, same number and still the same result. Never gotten a response back about the belt being big. My first product from buying their and will be my last. ...

Regardless of the 4040500, its the same length as a 5040500. The last 3 digits of the that part number is the size of the belt. The first 4 numbers have to do with the ribs and thickness of the belt. Still not content of getting 4040500 belt.

Guess i'll have to figure this one out...

They are leather wrapped but at 9 and 3, there is a buldge on either side. Definately different, but not by much.

The P/S and A/C belt number that MPx supplies is wrong. 5040500 is too large and your belt tensioner will be maxed out and squeal. I e-mailed MPx and of course didn't get a reply with the corrected number.

The steering wheel is different but just a little different design and it may fit Neon's. The Sebring that my friend had, the airbag was identical to the one in my Neon.
