The rear disc/abs/traction control was a package. You had to get all or nothing. 2000-2002 had this option group and in 2003-2005 the traction control was dropped from the group and was not available at all. Any original owners of base cars with disc/abs? Or anyone with known history on their cars? ...

rear disc/abs was definitely an option in '05.

Many fleet cars were base model (cheapest) with abs (safety/insurance reasons)

Hey Guys, I contacted Modern Performance about the throttle body and this what they said (We had problems with the 05 Neon model for some reason. I think we were getting check engine codes with the 05’s and that’s why we only made them for the 00-04’s. We’d definitely like to bring them back, but w...

On my personal Neons I would use Gates racing timing belt, Mopar water pump, Mopar/Litens tensioner.

I put Duralast (Autozone) stuff on on all the other Neons I've worked on with no problems.

The pitting would be fine if it's not where the gasket seals. It looks like most of the damage has occured where there is no seal. (Which is why it's pitting in the first place.) The small pit between the two oil returns looks like it might cause the most problems. You'd need to hold the gasket up t...

2000's had the vacuum reservoir located by the windsheild washer fluid reservoir. You could go that route if you want a factory reservoir.

There is an o ring up in the filter neck that could be leaking as well but you have to remove the filter and take the retainer nut out of the housing to get to it. Wouldn't it just leak internally, and not to the outside, if I'm thinking of the same thing? It would leak externally. There is the iro...

When looking at the "front" of the engine the crank rotates clockwise. Anything geared into the teeth side of the timing belt would rotated the same direction. So the cam gear(s) rotate clockwise with the crank gear. The tenisioner pulls the cam gear(s) counterclockwise to take up slack, therefore c...

I wouldn’t necessarily be aiming for a profit. But I would want to make back any money I invest into the project. If I figure $3,000 for setup and a prototype and $700 for each unit. I would aim to sell 10 units at $1,000 each. Which would leave me with a “free” ITB (the prototype) to keep for mysel...

The design could be made with a manual machine, but getting all of the pieces close to being the same might be hard. This would be especially important around the throttle plate were airflow needs to be matched as closely as possible between the individual throttle bodies. And the whole ITB unit cou...

Oil pan should be the same bolt pattern. If you want to use a srt pan you'll need to use the srt oil pump and oil filter adapter. You can't changed the bedplate without work as mentioned; plus the crank sensor position changed from non-NGC to NGC. So you'll have half a hole on one side of the block ...

The turbine wheel is definitely fucked.

You'll need to take off the compressor housing to better inspect the compressor wheel.

Even a totally incompetent machine shop should be able to remove the broken bolt from the head.
