Well I have tried everything with this lug nut and even an extractor didnt work...any ideas on how to get it out now?

Most of my driving is highway maybe 15% city. I just drove from NY to FL at about 80 MPH the whole way. My avg was about 26 MPG...which really sux compared to my 00 Neon I had an average of 35 MPG. I didnt tihnk their would be such a big difference between ATX and MTX gas milage.

I tested the battery with my multimeter...its at 11.98 when the car isnt started...when its started it drops to 11.02 and when the lights are on its down to 10.58 so it doesnt seem like power is coming from the alternator at all.

I had the same problem and it was the struts. You can just check your tires for uneven wearing and you will know if its the struts.

Yah it has, but atleast my neon isnt leaking coolant out of the thermostat housing anymore. Nows its just leaking out of one of the seals on the block...yea one in the back of the engine thats impossible to get to ha it even looks like its rusting around the seal.

Those thermostat housing units from Autozone are the worse. That was the 4th one I have had to replace...after 6 months they all seems to crack on the bottom and then coolant starts spraying out. The right size of my engine is now painted orange.

Well I finally got the head and timing belt and intake manifold in, but before I added coolant or connected any of the belts I wanted to fire her up to make sure she ran... Well the block as 110k and the new head I am installing has 75k. Im going to use the same gaskets for now I can always replace the intake and exhaust gaskets down the road. I got the intake manifold unbolted today, but it looks like I am going to need to remove the wires from the starter to take it out. That looks like a PITA.

I was wondering would I need new gaskets for the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold?

Alright Im going to take the day off tomorrow to get all the work done since its going to be the only nice day of the week. BTW I have been reading a few places that I am going to need a DRB scan tool to relearn the timing? Is this something new? I never used this when i did the timing belt on my 00...

Ah and one more thing. I used a razor to make the head and block surface as smooth as I can, but I am not satisfied. Should I also try 1000 grit sandpaper? And for the head gasket so I apply abt silicone bead to it or just lay it as is?

Ah well all my parts are finally here! Looks like I have a long weekend in the cold ahead of me. I am only doing a head swap for now and I was wondering once i get the head off should I try to clean the carbon buildup on the pistons? What would be the best way to do so?
