Display options after the board crashed....

Hi, Team, Ever since the board crash, I noticed that the display has changed back to the 'black' background after I log in (which is probably the 'default' setting). There used to be an option under one's Profile, to change the display to a different color or background.... Which I don't see anymore...

I'm struggling. I'm at the wiring part of the swap (what I feared most). If I use the Neon computer and wiring, and just splice in the engine harness plugs, etc. Will it run? Remember the engine is from 1998 1st gen Stratus with an automatic trans. The Neon is a 2003 with a standard trans. I'm real...

Ah, changing the CTS! It's been so difficult, after finally figuring out how to unscrew the cam position sensor(heater cables in the way), i broke all of the hard plastic insulator off the wires to the cam sensor. It was extremely brittle, is it ok to leave the wires "free" like that? Assuming the ...

It could be your Coolant Temperature Sensor going bad, that is causing this issue. In fact, the 'symptoms' you describe, sound like a CTS problem. If the PCM cannot get a reading from the CTS, it will 'assume' the engine is at full warm-up, and hot enough to kick the cooling fans 'on'. This will aff...

I only unscrewed them as much as needed to be able to remove the bushings - so I did not try to remove them at all. Clever idea !! The only thing that I would add, is that out here in the Midwestern US -- It is necessary to use a very strong rust penetrant, such as PB Blaster or Kroil. In...

After the first day of driving with the lines looped, the steering has gotten harder to steer again, now it is almost as bad as when the pump was in the loop. What the hell? You might want to try 'unlooping' the lines ?? Run them open, and see if it helps. If you try this ^, be aware that you will ...

Yes.

I drove one of my Neons for a few months with no P/S, and cut the lines.

Eventually, I went back to P/S and reinstalled replacement lines.
The P/S system showed no ill effects, and it works fine to this day. :)

Once the starter wires are disconnected, removing the IM is as simple as taking the 5 bolts out, unhooking the injector connectors, and swinging it aside. Correct !! Removing the intake manifold on a Neon, is pretty easy. (assuming you have the tools) There are a couple of 'hidden' bolts down low t...
