All I want is simple pwr (rather central) locks. No key-less, No remote start nothing. Not even lock/unlock switches. Just something that locks/unlocks all doors. the SPAL kit is the way to go then, in my opinion. it's pretty easy to install, just have to line up the actuator mount spots nicely to ...

I installed a SPAL 4 door power lock kit on my 00.. worked great. I had the added benefit of keyless entry by wiring it up to my already-installed remote starter.. but it works by default as a central lock when you lock/unlock one door all the doors do the same. SPAL also has a power window kit, but...

Trico wiper blade warranty, anyone know?
Anyone dealt with trying to claim any warranty on them for performance? I don't have the packaging anymore so I don't know if it says anything on it about a warranty. I've had the blades for just under a year and both blades have developed a sort of weak spot in the blade where the rubber just folds...

Pipe off rear of cat, all one piece or?
Thanks to this lovely snow and battling the road conditions getting home this morning I've cracked the pipe that comes out the rear of the cat (cracked it right as it comes off the cat, not a foot down the pipe).. can that be fixed/replaced or is it a whole new cat? edit -- a picture is worth a thou...

for the speakers they do say that they are 2 ohm speakers in the user manual, but "True Four Ohm Impedance technology: speaker's 2-ohm impedance combines with speaker wire impedance for a 4-ohm load".. so..... idk. oh, i found an original tag that was on the amp that says "bridging the speaker outpu...

Unless he meant cost of getting it installed locally.. which is nowhere near the same price as buying the kit online. Ive been quoted about $450ish for an older discontinued Hornet model, and up to $600 for some compustar (i think?) model.. got to check at one or two more places The compustar one he...

Poll: Alarms: Two Way vs One Way
Do you have, do you use, have you had, have you used, ever seen, etc etc a two way car alarm pager/remote? What do you think about them and their practicality and usefulness? Looking for a remote start + alarm upgrade for the new car and theres so many options out there! I kind of like the idea of t...

clarification on PT alternator upgrade?
ok going over some old threads with part numbers mentioned and everything, some of the alternators listed from the PT were SOHC and some DOHC.. does it matter which one you get for the neon or is the only thing you have to be concerned with the turbo/non-turbo? looking at a local yard they have a 20...

What I ended up doing, and basically it seemed necessary to have to do, was to take off the power steering pump in order to pull the plate out from around it... it was just the 2 mounting bolts on the inside of it so it wasnt a big deal.. but I didnt see any other way of being able to pull the plate...

It needs to go fairly high to get the one to slide all the way out. and that's safe to do? oh man... i don't like that! looking at it i didn't really see a need to remove the lower torque strut.. but i guess it has to be removed to lift the engine up significantly? i tried to remove the front torqu...

These are the instructions for removal and installation of the torque struts, just in case. I don't know how important the torque strut adjustment procedure is.. all it sounds like is putting the torque struts back on because the bolts will only line up one way! I've also got to do this and the tens...
